  1. Thanks Marcel, it was just the same with me I will definitelly look at that page!
  2. Hi mates! Let's start my next build here after a long time. I was quite saddened since the Moa had vanished and I had no motivation to post my builds here, but I would like to share with you my new project, which is this very beautiful machine - the GAL ST-25 Monospar (a piece of art for me just like the DH.89 and other De Havillands...) And it will be no ordinary build - I decided to open the canopy roof and the side door too. The kit provides you with very detailed resin interior which I would like to show off. I made the decision to recreate the British G-ADWH Jubilee Monospar with the black fuselage and silver wings (I hope the colours are right!) as you can see in the photo from the airwar.ru: I would like to kindly ask you, if anyone knows what the small white circle on the back of the fuselage looked like in detail, I would by very very happy if you could share the information. For now, I just assume that it has something to do with the Royal Jubilee from1935 because other civilian aircraft from that time have it too. I started with gluing the wings' halves together and preparing the fuselage parts for further work. There are a few issues with the original kit which I wanted to correct. The cockpit floor is too submerged in the fuselage so I put it a little bit higher. I made the red leather padding for the fuselage walls, the new rear bulkhead and I sawed off the port door. I cut the canopy to pieces to make it easier for gluing. For the wooden floor I used the HGW decal and the seatbelts are produced by Quinta Studio. I also cut out the hole for the nose landing light which will be made soon. The next step was gluing the fuselage halves together which was challenging but I am quite satisfied with the result. Thanks for looking and see you next time!
  3. Thanks a lot! I used Agama Red Line Aluminium Dope (Hlinikovy nater in czech). Good luck with your build!
  4. Hi, is there anything new please? I just purchased the kit and I would like to see how far did you push forward.
  5. Hello there! After some time I would like to present you my next German project - little Junkers family (meant in 1/144 scale). I discovered the Junkers G.38 in an internet sale and I needed it immediately. I haven't met this machine before and it was somenthing new to me. Also I always wanted to try corrugated iron aircraft and this is the best option for me so far. Before I started the build of G.38 I also bought the Ju-52 (Eduard kit) in the same scale and the new idea was to do a dualbuild of these two corrugated iron designs. But at first, let's have some fun with which I build these German models...(the Mont Python Flying Circus Johann Gambolputty Sletch) It always come to my head when I see the G.38 who knows why... I will go for this Tante Ju from the Berlin Olympics Games in 1936 and the G.38 D-APIS: Let's go for the builds: I started with the Tante Ju first - it is a model of a poorer quality so I wanted to be done quickly as possible. I glued the wings together which are now curing and then worked on the fuselage. First were the windows which fits perfectly. Then the interior parts such as floor, cokpit and the bulkheads. I made the new steering wheels (they were missing in the kit). Then I painted the interior with black Surfacer, only the cockpit with it's details I painted RLM_02 as recommended. After that I glued the fuselage together also with the back part. And that's the current state of the Ju-52 The greates issue so far was the front bottom of the fuselage - the bottom nose section had to be spread out by 1.2 mm to fit with the wings: The second problematic part was the back of the fuselage. This part is slightly bent and needs to be glued gradually. I started at the front and went to the tail: (sadly some glue leaked onto the corrugated iron surface ) The second build (the Junkers G.38) started with the same process of the glueing the windows into the fuselage sides and clearing the other interior parts for painting. I will replicate the black colour interior due to it's small windows, only the pilot's cockpit will be colourful (and maybe the passenger area in the wing roots). Look at the size comparison of the wingspan! And both wrinkled aircraft together... Thanks for watching! Cheers, Andrew
  6. Thank you very much Moa! You are absolutely right, they did a good job back then... Thanks for your kind words I'm glad you like it! I am happy that you didn't keep the information for yourself! I like to do a research for every model I build but sometimes there is not enough time for that Thank's Dave! I hope that the Humbrol Baltic Blue with white or silver underlayer will be just fine. Cheers! Thank you very much you all!
  7. Hello Roger and thanks a lot for the information you provided to me. You are absolutely right with that last sentence. My process of thoughts was that I will recreate the interior as it is in the museum and then I chose the marking. I was aware of a few original Air Bleu photos but I did'n notice the missing seats. The colour was advised by my friend who builds the Caudron Racers but obviously it doens't mean that they were the same on racer and the Simoun. I have little knowledge about the British aviation and this was my first French aircraft. I think this is definitelly my new field of research now. I really like all the Caudrons and I plan to build the Goéland next (also in blue marking - the RS models boxart). I will be very pleased if you will take a look at the work in progress and sometimes advise me a forther information As you see, I can't do nothing with this Simoun now, but that's ok because the DoraWings model kit will be next attempt to do it right (I would like to make a St Ex's machine) Thanks a lot once again!
  8. Hello once again! I would like to present you my latest work which wasn't shown here in WIP. My friend Pavel and I decided to build the same model kit and the choice fell on this beautiful Caudron. He planned to recreate the artbox F-ANXM (which was silver not yellow!!!) and I wanted the blue F-ANRO which is also in museum). The kit is really advanced even for it's old age. Except for a few mistakes made by the producer there is only two bigger issues - the shape of the undercarriage and the problematic two piece windscreen. I decided to work on the details in the interior so my build was delayed and Pavel was the first one who completed the build. His result is here - https://www.modelforum.cz/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=136419 I am really looking forward to DoraWings 1/48 Simoun kit and also to another Caudrons in my collection And if you are interested in my blue colour - I used the Vallejo Model Air French Blue (71088) Hope you like it and thanks fot looking!
  9. Hello everyone! I've finished my last model which is acrobatic Messerschmitt from the 30's produced by HUMA. The shortrun kit is of very poor quality but the plastic was very easy to sand so the work and scratch building was really pleasant. I started the Klemm 35 from the HUMA too, maybe I will post it here when there wil be right moment. This machine really goes well with the acrobatic Avia Ba.122 of the Czechoslovak origin which I built a long time ago. I would like to thank to my frien Pavel who made the decals and masks for this machine. They will be available in the link soon https://www.hobbyshop.cz/shop/cs/9_apc-decals There is the link for work in progress: And now the photos! Enjoy! Cheers, Andrew
