  1. Beautiful. As a brush painting beginner these two are definely something to aspire to. Can I ask a about the camo ans the panel lines. I assume the panel lines were a post gloss coat wash? If so what do you use? Regarding the camo, do you paint the lighter colour all over before the darker colour? And do you freehand the darker colour or mask? Thanks in advance and once again, great job
  2. Thanks for the kind comments and the useful feedback. The prop tips were an afterthought and I kinda regretted it afterwards. I knew I should have done it properly in the first place instead of freehand. Still, with each model I aim to get better. Once again, thanks for the advice
  3. Thanks The weathering was just messing around, I used a Humbrol oil was for the underside as a small hobby shop in town had some. I've done a bit of drybrushing in the past but could do with more washes. I just messed around with some silver on a small brush to do the chipping as I like the effect on other peoples models. I wish I'd done a little more i.e. on the other side - but I didn't want to overdo it. I'd like to try some panel washes on the Typhoon.
  4. Lovely finish. I shall refer back to these pictures when I start my Airfix Typhoon. Can I ask what colour the wheel wells are? Thanks
  5. As per title, my first model in over twenty years. I've been lurking on here for a while and after taking 12 months to complete this thought I'd share it as many of you on here have been an inspiration. Overall, I'm pretty pleased, Would like to add a little more detail with each build (Airfix Tiffy next). Wash on the bottom went well, pleased with the paintjob considering I only have two brushes. Disappointed to see the photography shows some mistakes I didn't spot before (paint creep on canopy and paint not getting into some of the details). Also the canopy masking lifted as I was spraying a matt coat slightly fogging the left side of the canopy. Oh, and I found the photography hard. Be kind! Chomping at the bit to start the Tiffy
