  1. My contenders: Hawk 1/188 XAB-1 "Beta"-I Atomic Powered Bomber MPC Pilgrim Observer nuclear powered space station (Have 2 of these, 1 still sealed) I don't really consider all 8 of my Hawk 1/48 U-2A kits to be really "rare". Larry
  2. I would love to see one, especially with the recce pallet. Larry
  3. Look over on PrimePortal: http://www.primeportal.net/the_airstrip.htm There are some nice walkarounds, showing the cargo bay interior, as well as the cockpit. Larry
  4. 1/48 & 1/72 modern photo-reconnaissance pods. Larry
  5. I hope their "fix" includes sending a corrected decal sheet to everyone who sends them a UPC from their kit (as proof of purchase). Leave it to XtraDecal to come to our rescue! Larry
  6. I just read on another forum that the entire decal sheet for the new Airfix 1/48 B-57B/RB-57E Canberra is too large. Can anybody confirm that? If so, I sincerely hope somebody will be doing replacement decals for the kit? Larry BTW, here's where I read it: http://ipmsuk.proboards.com/index.cgi?boar...amp;thread=5400
  7. Thanks for that info. I completely forgot to check that forum. I found a lot of pics taken by different people that look the same (taken from the same location?), but there were a few newer ones, showing more details of the underside & rear of the pod. Cheers, Larry
  8. Troffa, I agree that Terma appears to be doing some pretty cool (and effective) stuff with add-on countermeasure systems. I wouldn't be surprised to see their equipment turning up on a LOT of current aircraft. Andrew, Thanks for your comments. I feel that much of the future "add-on" countermeasures will more likely be hung from pylons (like the AIRCM pod), instead of scabbed on (like the different ALE-40 systems), for the simple reason that they can do it quicker, and with less internal airframe modifications (including extensive rewiring). Cheers, Larry
  9. Thanks for that link. I missed that, when I went to Terma's website. Along with the pod in question, there are some other cool countermeasure systems illustrated. I love putting lots of bumps & stuff on my planes. Cheers, Larry
  10. A friend told me he saw a picture recently of a Terma AIRCM (Advanced IR Countermeasures) Pod, being carried by a Tornado GR4. Apparently Terma modified a BOZ pod, to carry the IR flare launchers. I tried to do a Google search, but came up empty. There was also nothing on the Terma website. Does anybody have any info, and hopefully pics, of this pod? Larry
  11. I agree with you on avoiding the natural metal finishes. Thanks for the info on Squadron, I will have to dust off the old credit card and place an order. Larry
  12. Really good job there, Julien! I have a few resin figures in my "to-do" stash, but I doubt I will ever attempt a vinyl figure. The one thing that is keeping me from starting on my resin figures is the lack of confidence in doing a good job on skin tones. And since my figures have a LOT of skin to paint (read: semi-nude women!), I want to do a good job on them. Larry
  13. COOL BEANS! I wonder how long before it makes it to this side of the pond? Larry
  14. Add me to that list. I want to put one on my GR9 Harrier. Larry
  15. Rolf, Thanks for the suggestion about the DB set. Unfortunately, here in the "colonies" it's very hard to find any aftermarket done by non-US companies. I will keep a lookout for it. Cheers, Larry
  16. Colin, Thanks much. Email sent - TWICE. The first time it kicked back, because I did not add the .com to your email address. Larry
  17. I looked on the Cobra Company site, and I didn't see any wheels for the B-50 listed. Are they special order? Larry
  18. Lots of good info here. Wish I had most of the references Popeye mentioned. I agree that the Flightpath intakes are really nice, but I just can't justify getting aftermarket intakes that cost 5 times more than I paid for the kit. Larry
  19. That's GREAT news! I will definitely have to get a set for the SR2. Larry
  20. Grant, Hopefully, Colin will have what you need. I lost most of my photos on my hard drive (those which I hadn't backed up), when my computer crashed. Larry
  21. Hope this answers your questions: A: It depended on mission requirements, but two flash units could be carried in each tank, one in the front & one in the rear. B: Yes, the windows pointed down and to both sides, since the 4 installed reflectors were designed to illuminate a "bow-tie" shaped area, corresponding to the aircraft's split-vert cameras. C: Don't know about the lip or bump, as they don't show up in my manufacturer's data sheet. D: The opening is for the air cooling duct. Cheers, Larry
  22. That is really surprising information. I was not aware that the LS-93A Electronic Night Flash System (which is what you are talking about) was modified to ALSO carry cameras. The data sheet I have from Recon Optical, Inc. (who designed & manufactured it) doesn't show enough room to fit a Brownie Box Camera, much less an F95 or F126 camera. That also would have involved taking the camera control electronics out of the EMI reconnaissance pod and try to cram them into the LS-93A, as well. I would DEFINITELY like to see some pictures of that mod. Larry
  23. I guess you're not interested in my help. So be it. Larry
