  1. Strange... I was wondering about the AK US Navy colours with the "three colour scheme". Obviously they didn't knew that it was a four colour scheme... https://www.cottage-craft.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=1835
  2. Did AK miss something concerning the "blues"? https://ak-interactive.com/product/ww2-us-navy-and-usmc-aircraft-colors/?utm_source=Facebook+Catalog+Feed+%2F+Instagram&utm_campaign=Feed_FB_CD&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=68869
  3. The Italeri P-51D when found in Sweden is usually a few Skr more expensive compared with the better Airfix and Tamiya kits. Even getting it from Poland is more expensive... https://www.super-hobby.se/products/F-51D-Mustang.html
  4. The crappy Italeri P-51D with swedish decals goes for 165 SKr... https://www.radiostyrda-modeller.se/default.asp?mod=product&cat_id=310,485&product_id=4964
  5. It's not about taxes. It's about retailers that doesn't knew what crap they are selling. And the want to earn money... Airfix P-51D goes for 99 SKr compared with an Revell P-51D for 129 SKr... https://cdon.se/hobby-fest/revell-p-51d-mustang-172-monteringssats-flygplan-med-fast-vinge-34-styck-p54481086?gclid=Cj0KCQiA8vSOBhCkARIsAGdp6RR83TnGXFXkX1_HkBgy_StQ3fiIbJLGFeYcpzp1DTYiiEoSQ9SpZCsaAgqKEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
  6. In Sweden I've seen prices for the Revell P-51D higher than for an Airfix or Tamiya P-51D...
  7. On the other hand... ...look at the Revell 1/72 scale P-51D Mustang. They are still fooling people with this "stonage kit" that is far from good and priced as a modern kit. And they must sell a lot of them as it can be seen everywhere...
  8. And I have an idea of building an Israeli Spitfire IXe...
  9. Great News! What is needed to convert it to an IXe? Cheers/André
  10. Maybe with two types of tails as on the P-51B/C and two (three) types of propellers?
  11. There is still not an 1/72 scale Airfix Spit with Douglas Bader decals...
  12. Not all helicopters where great. The Blackhawk/Seahawk series suffers from badly made clear parts that not fits the fuselage. That's why we never see any built Italeri Blackhawk/Seahawk kits. Most late Italeri kits are pool designs...
  13. Doesn't almost everyone of those kits have an "Italeri style falwty part"? Like the windscreen on the P-51D, engine on the Hellcat etc...
  14. Well that kit came 1994 and the windsceen at least fits to the fuselage. One thing that can't be said about their crappy P-51D Mustang that came two years later... https://www.scalemates.com/kits/italeri-044-corsair-f-4u-5n--128350
  15. Hi, It is intended to be 44-72123, "The Millie G" from 343th Fighter Squadron... Cheers / André
  16. Hi! It has been fun to follow your work and notice that you also did a "panel lines filling work". Hopefully the comming 1/72 scale P-51D kits from Arma Hobby and eduard takes care and we doesn't have to do that work with "panel lines filling". Concerning Tamiya and Airfix kits they have an "snap fit" when it comes to fuselage and wings. So I don't glue them toghether. I just "snap them" in place after painting and decals... Cheers / André
  17. Well, you have Tamiya, Airfix, Hasegawa, Italeri, Academy to build if you wan't panel lines. Why not for once open up for an P-51D modell without those mentioned panellines? /André
  18. I don't think anyone suggested that for Arma Hobby concerning the P-51B. But we maybe can when it comes to the P-51D/K?

    9th AF film clips

An interesting early P-51D from 355th FS. "Too Bad" with olive drab (?) in front of the fuselage D-day bands. Blue spinner and noseband? Cheers / André
  20. Well it's usually a first time for everything. I think now there is time to produce an realistic P-51D with filled panellines as on the real thing. With one more upcomming P-51D from Arma and with the ones från Airfix, Tamiya and Hasegawa out on the market I feel there is good reason to try making something new... Cheers / André
  21. At last, an reissue of the full hull type XXI u-boot...
  22. Agree with you concerning accurate. And the sackcloth turned out rather well after painting. https://www.facebook.com/groups/395123104441641/permalink/783465732274041/
