  1. Hopefully via Revell in the new year!
  2. Office is generally a slang term for the cockpit. Viper looks amazing!
  3. Not all photo etch present as I have crap fine motor control. There's one exhaust pipe missing each side, gone to the great carpet monster, once I discovered I couldn't fit the cowl on with the fully assembled engine. So in attempting to rectify this, the engine exploded and also lost a pitot and lost a bit off the tailplane stabiliser. Still, managed to get an aerial on, thanks to the Mrs and her hair Used the scheme 6/JG 52 Husum Germany 1940. First time i've used an air brush is on this model. Couple of my pics came out blurry, here be the ones in focus!! Forgot, stretched sprue used for the antenna post as the original also went to the great carpet monster!

    Tornado gr1 intake ramps

Hi guys. Building the revell 1/48 tonka using xtradecal set for za470 circa 1984. I have a query on intake ramps before i fix their position. What position would they be in with the aircraft parked up? I know at some point they were fixed in position but not when. Also in 84 would the kruger flaps be in use and how would they be positioned when "parked". Cheers PS LRMTS should have been fitted by then too yes?
  5. Is there any inbox reviews of these knocking about? I have a set inbound just wondering how they are vs the 1/32 kit.

    1/72 bsg vipers Moebius

I don't see why it shouldn't be possible. If the Raider boxing follows this format, each viper is on it's own sprue and the clear parts for each are on separate sprues.

    1/72 bsg vipers Moebius

As promised. First impressions, very detailed albeit the plastic feels a little brittle. One will be done in BSG the other, like the unstarted big brother, will be be wiffied.

I'll pop a pic up when they arrive. I have a fresh 1/32 in stash so can do a couple of comparison shots.

    The Russians are coming

  12. He's going to have a companion. I've been doing an old hasegawa f15 as Thundercracker! I've buggered the canopy. Was nice and clear then I scratched a bit, tried to fix it and all went terribly wrong. Then I just thought it'll be a bit more like the cartoon version
  13. This is my first attempt at a rescribe. Bit gutted as the resin fuel probe came off. I found it and put it somewhere safe. Unfortunately it's gone again  Tried contacting Freightdog re the probe, no reply at all. Not even a "sorry we can't supply".

    Tornado LRMTS in 1/72

Bah humbug. Scored a too old airfix GR1 that has no LRMTS in it. Now er indoors has gone and "disappeared" the Revell one I was working on. Good news is the TSCs are there for an 8*1000lb version of my other revell kit

    Tornado LRMTS in 1/72

Building the Revell GR1 in Op Granby scheme, however hit a wee snag with the LRMTS pod. The clear plastic part appears to just a vague triangle shape and doesn't even conform to the fuselage, or the rest of the pod. Is there an AM replacement or another (cheap) kit that does this better? Tried googling but only thing showing is an ended ebay auction.

    Tornado LRMTS in 1/72

Rest of the clear parts are shoddy too. Loads of flash on all the parts, wing lights are a mess. Will have a look for an airfix kit. Might still end up building the airfix kit in an alternative scheme. I've another revell in the stash, will have to check the clear parts on that one.

    Regarding the Super Hornet F-18E/F

I've hit a snag with my Bucc, was masking up to spray the steel on wing leading edges and snapped the resin refuelling probe. I cannot find it anywhere and I don't know at what point it happened, I'll have to use the plastic part

    1/72 Hasegawa Weapon sets

Hi guys are the weapon sets well molded etc? I'm building a couple 1/72 models including a Airfix Buccaneer and it especially needs a better ordnance load. Was thinking of some resin replacements, but there's quite a bit in those H boxes for not too dissimilar cost... cheers

    1/72 Hasegawa Weapon sets

Hmm think I might end up with another gr1. Then I'll have 8 thousand pounders for an alternate load out. Will need to make twin stores thingies.

    1/72 Hasegawa Weapon sets

I have a Revell GR1, building both as Op Granby schemes. It was the quality of the GR1 set that made me look at the poor quality of the Airfix set!

    1/72 Hasegawa Weapon sets

cheers, might as well give them a whirl. Plenty of spares for other aircraft featuring missiles with foot thick fins (scale).

Italeri 1/48 Red Arrows Hawk with 2014 scheme

Thanks for the info. While I am waiting on the new RA Hawks, are they new tool or just new decals? Also noticed at Hannants that the Revell F-15E is being reissued. Which is great as they've been like hens teeth on fleecebay! I gave in and got the Academy SJ with figures version.
