  5. Hi Yankar The cleaner is fine for cleaning your airbrush after most water based varnishes are used. We have not tested the thinner with any varnishes as it's usually recommended to thin water based varnishes with water only. Hope this helps

  7. Hi There Richard If you're using Ultimate thinner then spraying Humbrol at 50/50 at between 20-25psi is recommended. You will achieve excellent results with these settings. As has been mentioned before, what your regulator syas and what the pressure is at the tip can be a completely different thing! If you're using Ultimate then there is no need for any further additives to your paint mix, just play around with the ratio and compressor settings until you find the right balance. I would suggest upping your pressure to 22psi and spraying at 50/50, if that doesnt work up the ratio to 60% thinner 40% paint and try that. Let us know how you get on. ATB Lee
  8. I had a Renegade Krome for over a year and hated it! Just couldn't get on with it at all, really poor airbrush for the money. I ended up going for the H&S Infinity CR Plus and what an airbrush! Definitely the Rolls Royce of airbrushes and will improve your airbrushing no end
  9. Hi What is it you're looking to do? All our products can be used with an airbrush or hairy stick....
  10. Hi Bobski Firstly, thanks for your feedback. I have to say that you are the very first person to say that they've seen no improvement using Ultimate with Xtracrylix paints! I can only assume that their is something particular to your set up that doesn't agree with Xtracrylix. From what I can understand, you have used the Ultimate thinner ratio chart when deciding your percentages with your paint? If you are, then I would suggest increasing the thinner ratio in 5% increments until you find the balance with your spraying set up, every set up is different. Maybe go straight for a 50/50 mix. If that doesn't work increase the thinner ratio up to 55%, then 60%. Xtracrylix are notoriously bad sprayers, but they do work perfectly fine with Ultimate thinner. Xtracrylix and Lifecolor where our main adversaries when creating the formula... Please let me know how you get on and PM me if you need any further help... All the best UMP

  12. We are pleased to announce that Hobby Colours are now the sole distributor for Ultimate Modelling Products in Greece. Hobby Colours are a great International shop that will ship to all of Europe and offer a wide range of modelling products. Please check out their website..... http://www.hobbycolours.com
  13. It will be fine Amen Glad you're happy so far Dean That particular ratio is for Vallejo Model Color, Panzer Aces & Game Color. 70% is optimum for us, but you may have your own ratio depending on what pressure you're using, 60% would be a minimum in our opinion though. If you're using Vallejo Model Air then it's only 10%-15% as per the chart. HTH
  14. Hi Amen - Our thinners are strictly acrylic only I'm afraid. I use Alclads myself and find that normal cellulose thinner is ideal for clean up on them. HTH
  15. We are pleased to announce that Hobby Paint 'n' Stuff are our new sole distributor in Finland. Hobby Paint 'n' Stuff are based in Finland and will ship any where in Europe. They are also a stockist of the fine AKAN paint paint range too... Please check them out ....... http://www.hpns.eu
  16. The H&S Infinity CR Plus is by far the best all round airbrush on the market at the moment for the price. For spraying fine you want the 0.2 needle ....
  17. Hi Matt Try this thread here for our Ultimate thinner - http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234952934-our-product-range/. It works exceptionally well with Revell Aqua with a 50/50 mix spraying at 22-25psi. If you scroll down there is a thinner ratio chart to use with our thinner.... All the best
  18. Hey davetwin Yep, it's 50% thinner - 50% paint. So, 5ml paint + 5ml thinner. In the same manner a 30% thinner ratio would be 7ml of paint + 3ml of thinner. HTH All the best
  19. To celebrate our first 6 months in business we are offering a full set of our Thinny Sticks & Sponges as a prize. Good Luck So head over and like our Facebook page.... https://www.facebook.com/ultimatemp
  20. If you are using acrylics, then you can't go wrong with our own Ultimate Airbrush Cleaner. It will clean ALL acrylic paints from all makes of airbrush. http://www.umpretail.com and will make mincemeat of any blockage you have used in conjunction with the right tools. I would also advise that you invest in a reamer and a set of airbrush cleaning brushes and do a full strip down clean every 3-4 weeks to keep your AB in tip top condition. http://www.air-craft.net If you use enamels as well, then a good soak in cellulose thinner over night should do the trick. I would highly recommend that you use different airbrushes for different paint types (if you can afford to). I have one for acrylics, one for 'hot' paints such as Alclads and a separate one for all clear coats. Hope this helps
  21. Thanks for your kind comments guys. As Mike has confirmed, you really shouldn't need to add anything at all to our thinner, to do so may throw the fine 'balance' off we have achieved. The only scenario I can foresee where you would need to add retarder is in very hot weather, and that's just a maybe
  22. Thanks for your kind comments one and all. Glad you're getting on well with the Ultimate thinner & cleaner
  23. Thinny Sponges.... Our Thinny Sponges are designed to compliment oue Thinny Stick range. They come in one grit of 220, but being a softer sponge, it's equivelant to roughly a 300 grit, just like the full size Ultimate Modellers Sanders. This will prove to be your go to sander on your bench.
  24. Hi Paul - As per the chart above, as long as you thin at least 50/50 with UMP thinner, Humbrol sprays fine
