  1. I like em. Working on a Tucano with a Hawk waiting in the wings.
  2. Looks good Julien. I'm not sure if I can get Xtracolor's here in the states. Certainly not around where I live but I may check into it. I have an I phone app called imodelkit. I can mix colors using that & have had good success with it in the past. I may test that before painting to see if it looks right. Thanks for the tip. Is that the 1/72 Airfix kit? If so how did you do your cockpit? Kurt
  3. So am I correct to say that the maintenance guys in the shops used a black paint that never received a 381c standard number and painted the Tucano's that? So when I paint my Tuc just use black? Wow I never thought this question would get such a response & result in such discussion. Thanks a bunch for all the info fellas! Kurt
  4. Can anyone tell me what the black"ish" color is on Short Tucano's? British standard 381c seems to note it as "night" but looks dark gray in the sample. But the airframes look black so what color do I use to paint a correct "blackish" Tucano. I'll be using MM Acryls but I can/will mix for the correct color. Cheers Kurt
  5. Do Brazilian Tucanos fly the same cockpit as the British Tuc's?
  6. Thanks Don. I tried airfighter but not airliners. I'll give them a shot and thanks for the links. We'll see if I have to resort to decal instruments & gauges. Hope not though. Kurt
  7. Hey my good friends anyone know a good place for Short Tucano cockpit pix including the ejection seat & side consules Cheers, Kurt.
  8. Like the tonal value. I have a hard time with that. Not to mention I'm starting a build of this fine piece of machinery. Kurt
