1/72 Folland Gnat F.1 / HAL Ajeet by MPM Prod./Special Hobby
Kampartiger replied to 172flogger's topic in The Rumourmonger
Will buy a box or two,it's not even in my favourite list but definately will buy it because of the historical background when the ajeet became a sabre slayer.Heck,it's so small and fast and difficult to spot. The name gnat fitted its combat behaviour well, small and irritating but it did performed extremly well.yes, will buy a few. -
Gaspatch Models 1/48 Salmson 2A2
Kampartiger replied to Brad Cancian's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
With 42 years of modelling in my pocket, the fear of rigging have kept me from building WW1 aircraft but I really have to get rid of the monkey from my back if I wish to build something close to Brad's superb salmson!Congratulation for completing such a beautiful aircraft. -
A perfect score of 10/10 for such a well build Spanish Hornet.

1/48 F-15l Ra'am, 255 Sqn, Israeli Air Force
Kampartiger replied to DaveJL's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
A smart looking Ra'am.That spured me to build a similar F15I with the inclusion of the recently added R2D2 (Artoo Detoo) on the canopy hump.Hopefully the build will be somewhere near to yr high stardard.congrats, that's really a desert king! -
1/32 HpH Aero L-39 ZA Albatros
Kampartiger replied to Jose Pedro's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
That's an extremely well done albatross, congratulation for being able to produce such an excellent model, obviously envied by 99.9% of britmodellers. -

4 masterpieces work of art, what more can be said.Hopefully Italeri will bring back the YF12A into the modelling scene. -
Revell 1:72 Consolidated PB4Y-1 Liberator
Kampartiger replied to Navy Bird's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Knowing there're a zillion of rivet heads to be removed,i hv to take my hat off in admiration of such a magnificient build. The colors are spot on with the white being kept subdued instead of the normal glaring outcome.Wonderful navy's Libby, wish I could build one just like yours.Keep up with the excellent work. -
CA-13 Boomerang, `The Grim Reaper`
Kampartiger replied to russ c's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Build the Boomerang by Tasman about a decade ago and I realized that the spinner was not actually right in the middle of the engine opening,so I thought it was a self inflicted mistake while building the kit.Yet,when I looked at your excellent Boomer,I realized it wasn't in the centre too.I guess it must had been designed that way. After a decade of pondering over it,i am at ease now.Great Boomerang, one of my all time favourite! -
Bought the reviewed Emily back in the late 1970s but it came in a FROG's box. What made me to buy it was a page from a commando's comic which showed a beached Sunderland firing full blaze on an Emily.wow!what can I say,I was only 9 and of course I didn't know the two seaplanes never met each other in the Pacific.I hope it is still there in the marsh behind my old house in Kota Kinabalu,Sabah,Malaysia. That was 40 years ago and it is still my favourite seaplane.Instead of moulding more f16s,hopefully hasegawa will make a fresh new one.Amen to that.

Venom and Vampires Venezuelan Air Force
Kampartiger replied to RSK48's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Beautifully done De Havilland triplets,it' s always fascinating to see these venom and vampires being operated in tropical surrounding rather than the typical european setting. -
Turkish delight,excellently done viper.

African B.52 (Ethiopian AF. Canberra)
Kampartiger replied to canberra kid's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Something different and such a beautiful build.Hopefully you can tone down the gloss just a little bit.i wouldn't like flying next to it under the bright African sun.Still a superb model. -
Aeroclub 1/48 DeHavilland SeaVenom
Kampartiger replied to Rizzo's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
How i wish airfix would indulge itself more in making new molds of British aircraft especially the venom and meteor families.I would love to have an Aeroclub Sea Venom but it is so rare.I guess the only option i have now is to admire Rizzo's superb Sea Venom. -
Bought 2 from hlj after reading yr.review.Hopefully Fujimi will re released the fgr.2 in the near future.splendid spey phantoms!

1/48 Wingman Alpha Jet (portuguese marks)
Kampartiger replied to Vitor Costa's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
A superbly finished Alphajet in my favourite portuguese color.what more can be said,it's simply superb from tail to front. The office looked real and though I dislike open canopies, this time I hv to admit it is well represented.congrats....a supremo effort. -
Excellent nmf mig21,the best so far that i hv seen.Who would ever thought there would be plastic under the aclad,it's so realistic.By the way, just where in Motherland Russia can we find a ferris wheel on an airbase?

Would be a nice pic if there's a Brewster Buffalo sitting next to it.Contrasting designs, the sleek Hayabusa /peregrine falcon and a portly buffalo.wow!I have a high respect for the Breswter' pilots that fought the Japanese onslaught from the Siam border right up to the last days of Singapore.Brave souls!

1/48 tamiya A6M5a Rabaul 1943-44
Kampartiger replied to guaguachong's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Beautiful zero sen.Love the faded Hinomarus too.I guess under the hot Rabaul sky the red meatball eventually changed quite quickly into a shade of orange.Since the airstrip was near to the sea and with two active volcanoes just outside the fence perimeter,i think it would look swell with some streaks of dust.anyway, superb build. -
