Airfix 1:48 De Havilland mosquito PR XVI
Kampartiger replied to John.R's topic in Work in Progress - Aircraft
I first bought my first airfix kit,the Yak 9D in 1969 when I was nine and I think it can still be found at swapmeets.I guess airfix kits that were released yesterday will still be around for the next 40 years.Well,I better save some for my great grandchild,at least he/she would not spend a fortune buying them.Bought the mossie when it first came out in 1980 and I am now with the 3rd.reissue.Don't think I will still be around for the 4th! -
New Airfix 1/72nd Scale Douglas Dakota- RAF SEAC
Kampartiger replied to tonyot's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
That must be the grand daddy of the ac47 gunship version used in vietnam.I wonder whether the two vickers on board were enough to keep the japs' heads down!Anyway today I have learnt that there were such machines in Burma 60 odd years ago.Thank u for the info and yes, that'a beautiful dak. -
Build the occidental 1/48 Fiat G91 two decades ago sporting a Portuguese camo and I was proud of it, but honestly your Gina seems to be a million times better than mine.Great work!Hopefully someone will produce a new Fiat G91 in the future.

A Flock of Blackbirds, Run Tippi Run.
Kampartiger replied to danimalmagic's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Honestly you should write a 'How to assemble the Blackbird family ' book based on your experience.I will definately buy one! -
That's an excellent build Omani Jag.It's a perfect blend of everything, colors, washes and good assembly discipline.Yes,it is sad that the desert jaguars are not flying anymore and hopefully the Indians will be flying theirs for some more years.Again,a very beautiful Omani jag.

Another superb spitfire .Funny how we modellers never get bored with its beautiful outline and I presumed there are more spitfire kits than anything else in the scale modelling world.Hopefully in the very near future, someone will release an excellent mk.xvi and mk.xviii.The missing links as I called it.Great work woody.

Roden 1/48 Fairchild AU-23a Peacemaker
Kampartiger replied to S48's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Outstanding build.Saw a Thai example flying close to the Malaysian border a few years ago and I have to admit it was slow and unconvicing in the COIN role but once equipped with the gun or rockets,I guess it can really bite. -

1/72 Folland Gnat F.1 / HAL Ajeet by MPM Prod./Special Hobby
Kampartiger replied to 172flogger's topic in The Rumourmonger
Will buy a box or two,it's not even in my favourite list but definately will buy it because of the historical background when the ajeet became a sabre slayer.Heck,it's so small and fast and difficult to spot. The name gnat fitted its combat behaviour well, small and irritating but it did performed extremly well.yes, will buy a few. -
Gaspatch Models 1/48 Salmson 2A2
Kampartiger replied to Brad Cancian's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
With 42 years of modelling in my pocket, the fear of rigging have kept me from building WW1 aircraft but I really have to get rid of the monkey from my back if I wish to build something close to Brad's superb salmson!Congratulation for completing such a beautiful aircraft. -
A perfect score of 10/10 for such a well build Spanish Hornet.

1/48 F-15l Ra'am, 255 Sqn, Israeli Air Force
Kampartiger replied to DaveJL's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
A smart looking Ra'am.That spured me to build a similar F15I with the inclusion of the recently added R2D2 (Artoo Detoo) on the canopy hump.Hopefully the build will be somewhere near to yr high stardard.congrats, that's really a desert king! -

Revell 1:72 Consolidated PB4Y-1 Liberator
Kampartiger replied to Navy Bird's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Knowing there're a zillion of rivet heads to be removed,i hv to take my hat off in admiration of such a magnificient build. The colors are spot on with the white being kept subdued instead of the normal glaring outcome.Wonderful navy's Libby, wish I could build one just like yours.Keep up with the excellent work. -
CA-13 Boomerang, `The Grim Reaper`
Kampartiger replied to russ c's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Build the Boomerang by Tasman about a decade ago and I realized that the spinner was not actually right in the middle of the engine opening,so I thought it was a self inflicted mistake while building the kit.Yet,when I looked at your excellent Boomer,I realized it wasn't in the centre too.I guess it must had been designed that way. After a decade of pondering over it,i am at ease now.Great Boomerang, one of my all time favourite!
