1/72 ITALERI Fairchild AC-119K
Kampartiger replied to VG 33's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Just surfed the net and found out that someone has just produced (2013) a resin correction set for the stinger's nose plus the two jet pods. The pics for the resin parts show quality products and the price is at $30.If anyone can't wait for a C-123K by Roden,it looks like the pods are very similar to those that are found under the 'k' wings and maybe useable.Btw just found a few Italeri's AC119K on the ebay which won't hurt my budget. -
1/72 ITALERI Fairchild AC-119K
Kampartiger replied to VG 33's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Really love the Italeri Stinger and especially the one that you had just completed.Had a box and stupidly sold it off to a friend years ago but after seeing your Stinger,I have the strong urge to build one.If I can't get the Ita kit,I'll wait for the Roden's example.Hopefully they will get the nose right! -
Interesting latest release from Kinetic but sad to say the 'wow' factor is not there.Maybe it's due to the fact that there are only two users.Would love to see a few more italian stuff on the market especially the small and uncomplicated but a huge success ....the SF260m trainer/COIN aircraft.Maybe....just maybe Italeri will consider doing that!

1/48 - Fairey Firefly U.Mk.8 by Special Hobby - released
Kampartiger replied to Homebee's topic in The Rumourmonger
Lately i hv been buying SH Fireflies because of two good reasons. Firstly.I love the plane and would love to build some examples of the user of it and secondly,is the excellent boxart. My favourite is the one that depicts the mk.7.Simply fabulous! -
That my friend...is a superb hunter, the best two seater I hv seen so far.Now that motivates me to get the same kits you used and planning to build a Singaporean example.Yes....I am going to be a little bit poorer by next week compare to today. That's scale modelling!

Mr.vitor, read through your w.i.p,....admire all the effort that you have put into the small model and really enjoy looking at all the pictures of the two finished alouettes. All i can say is....... 'wow' Good job!For an old man like me,i can't emulate what you have done and how i wish there will an excellent Alouette III in the future!

Mirage V BD Belgian AF - 1/48
Kampartiger replied to Gary West's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Nice really nice.....it's sad that versions of the beautiful Mirage that are still flying all over the world are decreasing by day.Hopefully we can get good walkarounds of Pakistanis,Venezuelan and Argentinian Mirages before they are gone for good.Excellent looking Mirage...maybe Kinetic will release the double seaters too. -
1/48 - Fairey Firefly AS.Mk.7 by Special Hobby - released
Kampartiger replied to Homebee's topic in The Rumourmonger
I have to thank the Lord for putting the idea of producing the AS.7 in plastic into that someone's head at Special Hobby!Amen to that and will surely get one of the final Firefly version.Gannets are indeed ugly but I have boxes of it to prove that there's beauty in it. -
ICM 1/48 scale Spit VIII SEAC

Splendid spitfire! -
Had one back in the mid 70's,it was either the Starlifter or the Nitto's C5 Galaxy (money was scarce during those difficult days) and the Starlifter came out as the winner. It survived for a decade before I have to leave for higher education and that was it.I remember painting it silver and white. The grey didn't reach the Borneon coast until much later.......Anyway thanks for showing the Starlifter,it brought back a lot of happy and mischevious memories!

Beautiful Lancaster, would love to have a similar one in the cabinet. To those who thinks white Lancs are boring, just remember that anyone who has the experience of flying under a cockpit like that over South East Asia would know that it involved 99.9% perspiration and 0.01% flying.

A very impressive line up of tigers.Particularly like the silver F111..... sometimes I wonder what would the colors for the Swingers if they had been brought into service!Love the Hawker Fury too and I am surprised to see that it is as big as a spit.Again a superb collection.

RNZAF F4U-1D Corsair Jacquinot Bay 1945
Kampartiger replied to russ c's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Russ, your modelling skill never fail to impress me and the kiwi's corsair is simply impressive. For someone who is living in the cold north, somehow you have presented a realistic sun burnt, salt corroded corsair that had served in the humid tropical pacific.congrats brother! -

Kampartiger replied to periklis_sale's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
A very beautifully done Mirage or locally known in Israel as the Shahak, simply superb. -
Finally, something unusual from that corner of the world instead of the usual diet of starfighters and huns.Nice war colors on the C47.I agree with meatbox8,it really looked like an american spooky!

Kampartiger replied to Eberle's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Wow.......such a majestic work.Left me utterly speechless! -
Saw these RMAF Herkys doing their familiarization flight to Kota Kinabalu from the 2nd floor of my school during the late 1970s.To a lad of 17 years old living near the fringe of the Borneon jungle,it was really a grand sight. During the Vietnam War,RAAF Neptunes can be seen at the airport and I can still remember watching the young crew members walking to the two neptunes which flew off with a big roar, but the biggest roar came from an all black B57 which maybe was flying too close and too low to the school. It was the sight nor sound that can never be forgotten.Keep up with the good work Mr.B,hopefully to see the Herky in all its glory soon.

Will be following closely yr.progress as I too intend to build an RAF Sabre,a no.234 squadron machine. Will use the model's hard wing as there's a photo (Aircam book if i m not mistaken) of a Sabre from that same squadron having it and I do believe the sharkmouth Sabres of 112 were using the same wings too,

Just ordered 1 SH3H from HLJ and bought another JMSDF S-61 to be converted into a R.Malaysian A.F aircraft.
-
In two of the smaller sprues, there are parts for the earlier released JMSDF Seaking such as the Mitsubishi design intake FOD,the 2 ecms under the tail and the very flat doppler.I guess the kit designer had suddenly remember to include in the missing parts to the latest SH3H boxing but obviously there is still 1 important part of the aircraft that is still nowhere to be found-the infamous doghouse aka the shroud(is it that difficult to mold?).Another irritating inclusions in the assembly instructions are piece of westland parts that are shown in use to build the USN Seaking.Anyway, despite the failure of Cyberhobby to correct the mistakes found in the Seaking series I will buy a box and use the parts mentioned to upgrade my Antartic japanese Seaking!Hopefully.......in their next release, will be the elusive shroud!

Too big for my cabinet! But will probably buy one and a bigger cabinet too!Ha Ha Ha.
