SMB-2 Super Mystère B2 Israeli Air Force
Ettore replied to Ettore's topic in Marcel Bloch / Dassault GB
Thank you for your solidarity. My mother was in hospital for two months due to a lack of oxygen and therefore low saturation, she is 90 years old and therefore quite delicate. Now the situation has improved and after a visit to a rest home we have decided to take her home, but she has to be ventilated all night and during the day she must always have oxygen through her nose; as a mind she is very lucid but physically tired; I have to give help to my sister who also has a job and follow the work of the nurses and get them to do some physiotherapy exercises when the specialized personnel aren't there.........in practice as a former systems electronics airports I switch to a nurse, luckily I have a strong and tempered character ...... almost glacial ....... in these situations. Thanks again, on my return I will make my own kit for this GB Ettore 😷 -
Et voilà mon truc !! 🇫🇷 And here is my subject: a SMB-2 Super Mystère from Special Hobby and in my favorite scale 1/72; The B2 no. 09/909 , was the first airframe to be re-engined with the US-built , ex A-4 Skyhawk J52 engine by IAI at Centre Maintenance Unit 22 facility. The kit is quite rich in well detailed pieces, I will add some Eduard photoetched parts; I'll start it on February 4, but I'll stop immediately for 12 days because unfortunately I have to leave for serious family problems in Sicily. Here the box art and pieces Ettore

Hello everybody Let's say that the main floor is finally finished with all the compartments assembled The two internal half-fuselages, apart from the general coloring, still have to receive some details and paneling ......... See you soon for more updates Ettore
-
Goodmorning Finally some color! first I gave green to the horizontal planes and then to the vertical ones; the green used is u Interior green by AK and then I gave a light pass of Interior Green Gunze, the latter is slightly lighter The internal details of the fuselage are many, some signs of ejection could be annoying, but once everything is painted and closed you will not see anything, rather I have to look for documentation on internal electrical wiring and hydraulic pipes, can someone help me, please, with some image ? And finally a small closing test Ettore

Thank you for the small news that I read between the lines of your messages, this kit is pleasant to assemble, but inside the fuselage there are too many signs of ejection to mask, but once closed you will not see anything ...... We also discuss about building all your own kits, well I agree to make them, as far as possible all. I have 154 to do and I love them all, maybe less short runs from a few years ago, but they are kept there. I'm retired and therefore I have more time but I also have a family to follow and two other hobbies (fishing and flying with drones), my problem with the kits is that I also do reviews for an Italian magazine (Sky Models and Model Time) and so I get boxes every month......At 63, I don't think I'll make them all.....I'll also try to sell and/or give them away. Thank you for your appreciation and see you very soon for more photos of the assembly. Ettore

Hello everybody As usual I started from the cockpit separating and assembling the main pieces; for the pilot instrumentation and the radio I will use Kelik 3D decals, for other details Eduard photo-etched parts. As you can see I did some tests without glue and I must that it fits well To the next developments! Ettore

Good morning everyone My subject for this campaign will be a 1/48th scale TBD-1 Devastator from GWH in operation during the Battle of Midway 4-7 June 1942. As you can see from the open package it will be full of photoetched parts, but not all of them are necessary because the quality of the kit is very good; in addition to these aftermarket ones I found some Kelik 3D decals for the cockpit. Happy GB everyone Ettore

Good morning everyone First of all, I thank Enzo for having kept my votes and then used them; I followed you from the clinic where I did the rehabilitation after the hip operation and I returned home for 5 days. I have followed you on the site anyway and I must say that everyone has done an excellent job of cooperation; the GBs are very beautiful and interesting and I have already made a list of those that interest me and the kits to build; I don't know how I'm going to fit everything together with various GBs of the Italian site I frequent (https://www.modellismopiu.it/), anyway I'll try. Physically I am fine, I could also walk without crutches but it is strictly forbidden for the safety of the hip ...... my wife in these cases is worse than a mastiff .... Day 5 December I will go to the surgeon and he will tell me if I can drive and then eliminate the crutches ....... I, however, will be there in some of your GB Ettore- 37 replies

Thanks so much Enzo......... Sunday evening I'll send to you a PM, Monday start the adventure......... Ettore

Good morning Excuse my inattention, but from 1 November, until when can I vote? Let me explain: Monday I will go to the hospital for a hip surgery, 4-5 days and then two weeks of rehabilitation, so in theory I would not be able to vote ... but I will try to take the tablet with me .... ... I hope there is a connection. Ettore 🦿
