  2. now and again i see a tip on here i dont do thats so blindingly obvious and think why the hell didnt I think of that! innit always like that... *walks away shaking head and mumbling*

  4. get used to the carpet monster on etch!! i use masking tape to tape it down then cut, others use plastic bags etc but still some of it flys off never to be seen again! for the canopy i would go with what someone said above, ladys 3 way nail buffers, very cheap and work really well...to be honest if they are good enough for their nails way good enough for canopys! and again when done dip in klear oh and pre shading i think more random it is the better so dont worry if you go offline slightly liking this one btw, when ive done what im doing its an A-7d for me

  8. i use all sorts of fillers, squadron white and green, Mr putty etc none of those have melted my model and i use the nail varnish remover method, but you do need the stuff with acetone its more an acetone solution so shouldnt be hot enough to melt your model... the stuff without acetone is useless and wont work
  9. tamiya for me and I do use klear around the edges...just remember to use a very sharp knife around the tape when yr about to take it off!
  10. not washed or weathered? Hanging is just to good for you the wifes make up accessories are a proper little gold mine arnt they! of course best not get caught!! like that with the red stars...looks good!

    oh yeh and dont forget to read the instructions and not add direct to paint, add it to the thinner as me being a muppet added it to the paint... a year and half later ended up stripping a F-18F as it was still tacky

    you want an art shop (or a hobbycraft) in fact come to think of it i bought a bottle of windsor & newton retarder in the art section of WH Smiths
  14. get what yr saying (and to be fair alclad do on their site and sure ive seen someone mention that vallego do on their site but havent looked) but isnt there a lot of variables, certainly temperature and humidity make a difference that would make it difficult for the manufacturers to be 100% correct in what they advise?

  16. an hour isnt nearly long enough.... i would go 12 at least! and really dont look, dont touch...find something else to do oh yeh and just a reminder DONT LOOK its frightning

  18. very true...happened to me in GW picked up some red gore (great match for insignia red) and the young lad (hesitate to use the word geek as obviously so are we!) asked what i was doing my reply of a hasagawa 48th scale F/A-18E was met with blank looks nice paints though, airbrush lovely and i thin with distilled water
