In my opinion, the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 was bertter: it belonged to a younger generation at that time, and, if I'm not mistaken, it had more firepower and more armour. Bf 109 was more manoeuvrable, but I still believe was outclassed by the Fw 190 in many respects.
