Yes indeed Terry, just an excellent painting.
  2. That is one fine looking piece of work, Terry
  3. My mistake, Malpaso. Should have said specification issued in 39 and first flew in 41. Thanks for clarification on the flight ban over Germany, Martin. Thanks all. Cheers.
  4. Thanks so much, Head in the Clouds.
  5. Awesome piece of work, bobsyouruncle.
  6. The Gloster E28 (in background) first flew in 1939 and was Britain's first jet. It was used as a test bed for the engine. The Meteor (foreground) first flew in 1943 and served in WWII, but wasn't allowed to be flown over German held territory for fear they may capture a downed one. Was also used in chasing down V1 flying bombs.
  7. Thank you, David. Thanks Kostas, You're right it didn't get accepted, but the excellent MB5 did come from this. Thanks Homer, this is drawn in vector, which is just a form of graphics. I start with the base drawing and add shading, colour, details etc, similar to using traditional art tools. Probably closest to coloured pencils as vs raster which is digital painting. I use both types of graphics in my work. I've shown some of the steps below for another piece of work. Cheers.
  8. Drew this plane about 4 years ago for some other work. Thought I'd show it in a larger different format.

Thanks for your very kind words, Bob.
  10. Beautiful looking work, Terry.
  11. I guess it was just a weak moment, Jessica. Thanks so much, Colin.
  12. Thanks, Jason. I use Xara for vector work and a simple paint program from GIF Animator. It's not true Jessica, I'm totally innocent and Jack knows it.
  13. Just go to the wetcanvas.com site and scroll down to aviation art, Kostas.
  14. Kostas, you should post some of your work over at WetCanvas in the aviation forum. I know the guys would enjoy it.

The venerable old DC3, designed in the 30's and still being used in some parts of the world.
  18. Interesting to watch, Kostas. All the best to you and yours.
  19. Thanks for having a look, guys. I was having a little fun with that one. I'd like to see that when you get it completed, oggy.
  20. First designed in 1939 and flown in 1943, the Black Bullet was a pusher prop design that never worked well. I drew this up as a "what If" the plane worked out and became jet powered.
  21. Thanks all for leaving a comment. They certainly were outclassed by the Migs. Never heard about them being in Italy though, Steve. Maybe someone else could answer that.
