  1. Looking forward to this one. I hope Eduard add few extra fuels tanks for the wings, it always seems a little bare without them.
  2. The Revell 1/32 P-51D is an excellent kit for the price, there's nothing wrong with it. All the serious reviewers and model makers like it. Brett Greens review http://www.hyperscale.com/2017/reviews/kits/revell03944reviewbg_1.htm Flory Models review https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hdCD880vOZw Spencer Pollard https://thekitbox.wordpress.com/2018/06/24/revell-132-mustang-ready-for-publication/#more-4331 (its in his new P-51 book )
  3. Props are okay could be a tapered in a bit going down towards the propeller hub other than that they're pretty good, but I just wanted to build it quickly i'm not much of a rivet counter ! To be honest the bomb sight is so small in the scale its not really a Norden sight merely a series of cylinders in tiny plastic, so if you did want to make it a British mark XIV sight just turn it 90°. For the paints I just used Mr.Color dark earth, Tamiya RAF dark green, the rest was just Tamiya standard colours and Alclad II Aqua Gloss and Satin varnish with of course Tamiya grey primer in a rattle can ( love the stuff). I'd just like to thank everyone for their kind words while i'm at it. I love coming on this website to see the amazing amount of talent our small little hobby produces and how it inspires me to try and be a better modeller, thanks again...........now if I can only get my hands on a Blackbird Lincoln conversion that be next on my list !
  4. Just finished this kit from Revell, all the mistakes are my own. Only a little problem with fitting the bomb bay doors, other than that great kit !
  5. Wingnut Wings Felixstowe F.2a But at US$269.00 the price is just too recession crushing. I can except the beauty and detail of the kit but we all have to live in the real world I thought it might be closer to the Gotha at US$149.00.
  6. Joe, doesn't do the Magister in Finnish marking in 1/48. He only does the Finnish ones in 1/72. He didn't convert the whole 1/72 sheet to 1/48. He was there in Telford for the whole of Saturday, but just as a civilian Modeler. He will be appearing as a vendor (I think) at the Cork Model Fair Feb 1st 2015. If you want to pop over. You can always send him an email !
  7. Someone better get printing 1/48 VF-84 Jolly Rogers F-14A Decals things are getting ridiculous £95 for decals ! ... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181565823396?_trksid=p2060778.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  8. I too am interested to find out whats happened to this project.........
  9. We've all been there with our mental colour cards trying to figure out which is the correct green, peering at every conceivable book and internet resource. Even blindly following the recommendations of a bloke you ever met or heard of before. Painting strips of slightly different shades of green again and again slowly becoming mad and even more unsure of your choice. So after my little rant which Tamiya XF- green is the correct one or nearest to an Italian camo Panavia Tornado from the 80's. Hopefully one of you Tonka boys will help me out. thanks, Wayne
  10. Thank you everyone, but unfortunately I can't bring it with me. The only evidence of the model at the show will be the splattered orange on my nice white runners, so keep your eyes peeled for my feet !
  11. Here is my first post. I made loads of little mistakes but then again that's modelling. The Decals are Model Alliance and the cockpit has Eduard coloured photo etch. There are almost no reference photos of this aircraft on the web so its really a shot in the dark. Now for the 15 hour bus journey from southern Ireland to Telford !
  12. Come on people lets think outside the box here, it may not even be a British subject ! Hope its a new 1/72 Viggen or even 1/48 FMA IA 58 Pucara maybe even a detailed 1/16 Mark 1 'Male' Tank WWI. I'll be there in Telford for the for the announcement anyway can't wait, not long now.
