Well have started the Grant. please let me know about the weathering, (is it any good)its all watercolour so it will all come off if no good, also i have bought some filters how do I use those, it says nothing on the bottle.

In early 1942 the British were made aware (by the Master spy Leopold Tepper) that the Russians were developing a flying tank. The A-40 Krylya. This information was was passed on to the MOD who hastily commissioned the design our own flying tank. It was decided this tank should be able to take off and land under its own power and not,as a glider towed by another plane, just increasing the target size and not as useful. The top designer, a young handsome genius by the name of K.P. Nuts was called in to do the job, his first request was to find the lightest, strongest materials available, it was discovered the MOD owned a patent on a product called Carbon fiber, invented by W. Watt, L.N. Phillips and W. J. Johnson. The Grant M3 was the tank chosen to be used on the project. The turret and mantle would be made of carbon fiber and the middle set of wheels would be removed and carbon fiber skids added to replace them, reducing the weight from 30 US short tons to 19 US short tons. I realise I've been a bit inventive with history carbon fiber was not invented till 1963 (at least as we know it today, they did have it in 1939 but was not useable for this type of thing) I will be building the tank as normal to start with, to get the experience with washes and stuff, my first attempt was not very good. as you can see very crude and no washes, but I hope to improve.

Well this shows you how far along we are I have started crushing christine into the loading bay I am so nervous, this is make or break. I have the bumper and grill bent into it, it's now the car. No pics I really should have Christines lights working but to late now I think especially when. The wings are crushed in (not enough room all my leds are 5mm) and I can't damage the paintwork as I mixed the colour and spilt the pot I had it in, so if I ruin the paint I have to spray the whole car again.

Hi folks and tonights update is, got to try and figure out how to attatch the seat to the dolly for the camera man/woman to operate the camera and then figure out how to attatch the boom mike to the camera then some wheels for the dolly. We really are on the home run now.

Well I've started building the other 2 cameras this time they are not Panavision they are Cisca they are being built as a pair but I am giving one a different lens, also one will be on a tripod and the other will be on a dolly. little bit more detail to put on them then build the tripod and the dolly, then the camera men\women the rest of the crew a boom mike I just suddenly thought of (i wonder if that could\would be mounted on the dolly with the camera) some kit boxes, film reels, all the cables then the dreaded crushing christine into the loading bay.

I will be watching this, not a kit I will ever build (for one thing I could never afford to buy one and another my skills pale into insignificance when compared to yours) but I still love to watch a master at work.

Hi all well I've removed the rigging to aid cleaning. as you can see I've also removed part of the deck to show the boiler as you couldn't really see it before ( also it helps with cleaning access).

Hi all my catastrophe with the C17 (a revell model that is fighting me all the way, no pics as it look absolute rubbish)has got me back onto my grand old lady temproarily anyway. so I got her off the shelf and the first thing I notice is she needs lots of cleaning(I must remember to cover her up when not doing work on her) so done the saftey rope round the crews deck next is a lot of cleaning may have to remove all the rigging to do that properly (don't mind as i have some proper rigging line now)then I have to figure something out for the tops of the funnels.

Lights Camera action I have got to say I am quite chuffed with John Carpenter I dont know if he has one now but the photo I have with him on the set of Christine he is sporting a moustache so I have given my little man one, he dosn't look much like John, I mean john is much slimmer than mine and he is only wearing a jumper on the pic I have, but he could have been wearing a jacket earlier so not too worried about that.

Here is the little guy I am going to use as Mr John Carpenter. with a little persuasion I got him to sit. Hi all thanks for all your input have decided to go with my own airline KP AIRLINES as it incorporates my initials and my missus it will be based on the KLM livery only where it's white it will be blue. I will be using Humbrol enamels French blue 14 for the KLM blue and Sea blue 47 for where it's white and the pin stripes or go faster stripes? Don't know what else to call them Bright red 19 what do you think.

Okay guys have decided on my own KP AIRLINES based on the KLM Livery but with either dark blue or crimson where the white is on the KLM livery. Which do you think.

Hi plastic bonsai the Quatar version is one of the ones in the kit. The thunderbirds scheme sounds good though or maybe KP Airlines.

Hi all need some help getting bored of my christine build. My missus bought me the Revell 1/144 c17a antd keeps dropping hints about don't I like it or is it too difficult things like that, thing is I quite like it but not in the boring colours of the 2 options available. I have Googled it and found some nice colour schemes only to find that they are not actually a c17a do any of you know of a colour scheme that does not involve Grey or white or a combination of.

Hi all my new leds have turned up. it always tickles me how big the box is they come in but this time they came with a high quality brochure here are an assortment of pics from said brochure all very nice so when I want my 30 million pound yachts lighting upgraded I know where to go. Anyway thats not why I posted this is my simple but not particularly elegant method for lighting the super troupers take one led bend thus make a plasticard tube the size of your chosen batteries. inset 2 batteries place bent led over the plastic tube and onto batteries insert piece of plastic between the negative pole light goes out. remove plastic card light comes on. now all I have to do is figure out how to get that inside the super troupers, the batteries and led slip in nicely, its figuring out the switch.

That's the idea think I've got the wiring figured, there won't be any. I am going to use the little watch batteries tested it last night and 2 of the run 1 led for 3 hours so they will fit inside the lights, easy job done.

It's okay you are not raining on my parade I am doing the FILMING of Moochie's death and they used a bulldozer to push the car into the loading bay as a car under its own power would not get the traction to be able to do that.

Hi all I think I've finished the generator just need to make some sort of plugging in area which I will do when I know how many things will need plugging in to it .

hi all put lights on hold till I get my new leds so started work on the generator.

I have done some work on the Super Troupers (that's film lighting apparently)there will be 4 of them not sure how i am going to put the wires for the leds yet but will think of something. also did some rough ideaa for whats prob going on the trailer
