  1. This is the crest I believe http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/yamato/images/d/d0/Faeb7d47a4.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20131114013710 I'll get some images of the inside of the observation rooms, they are split over two decks with pools on the two lower sections, ward room to starboard upper and observation deck to port upper. Pretty plain and empty I think so you might have an easier time of this at least
  2. As I recall one of the observation decks in the hull is a steam bath, vital kit for a battleship I am sure
  3. 1 Sec is about right for the basic blast from the gun turrets, for when they just want to put holes in things. There are plenty of times when they fire for longer, 3-4 seconds, sometimes longer when they are using them to cut ships in half or rake a bigger target, so it does vary a bit. I'd say anywhere between 1-3 seconds is sound
  4. Like the little catwalks with the rails, bet that was a pain to line up
  5. Nice pics of the new stuff due, Y-Wing looks very nifty And looks like Boba Fetts ship is next up
  6. Just needs a Jolly Roger flag and it could be Harlocks new Pirate ship
  7. I'd probably suggest 5 years after the show rather than 50, tech advanced so quickly that within 5-10 years planet busting super ships were the standard issue and these traditional ships of the line were rather outclassed But 5-10 years or so fits nicely, the Gamilas chaps were fighting one massive war after another and took some serious losses in the process, I expect every ship they could lay their hands on would be desperately needed and thrown into action regardless of its condition
  8. Looks like they fit the theme to me, got the same sort of raked shape the other wings and fins have, it fits Maybe even stick a few more on the back end, underside of the saucer bit, call them heat exchangers or sensor masts or something else technical sounding
  9. Yeah, whatever battle happened over that planet must have been massive. Not only those major ships lost but nobody bothered to recover them, I mean they are in pretty good condition all told, mostly in one piece. Well, either a massive battle or the worst case of parallel parking I've ever seen. Pretty sure if my better half was given the wheel of a twenty mile long spaceship it'd end up backflipped in a desert somewhere
  10. I think its a pre-made for the lazy collector Revell are definitely doing one and I reckon its virtually certain Bandai will too but no confirmation yet. The fighter itself is called the T-70, the old X-Wing was a T-65A so I guess we've had a bit of an evolution during the intervening decades. Looks like it has the new ball droid sat behind the cockpit too where R2 used to sit. Some of the pictures show a black and red X-WIng too so we might get some nice variations between squadrons
  11. There's these fellows too... A Flametrooper armed with presumably a flamethrower, and a new generation Snowtrooper.
  12. bit related, the first model ships
  13. They just released the second teaser trailer for the new movie, still no idea what the plot is
  14. I like it, love the detail and the build up, something I'm taking notes on for my next big project And extra firepower is never wasted A ship that big can't have too many guns
  15. Looks entirely spiffy The ships on the show tend to have far more detail than you see on the screen, I guess to save on the CGI budget, so this is great to see
  16. Love the fin on the bridge, definitely fits the style
  17. Always wondered how you got into them? Is there some sort of ladder maybe? I can imagine at a base they would have lifts and stuff but wonder how it works in the field... Even as a kid that bothered me
  18. I had one show up this morning too, very crisp bit of plastic Look forward to what you come up with
  19. I've been trawling the net for the last few days looking No success yet, I figure the gun is easy enough, the films had Lewis guns and German MGs with a few bits stuck on, but the trooper is a nuisance Plenty in 1/72 and 1/32, but 1/48 not so much Edit- Right, after a different direction I may have found some, a table top game called 'Imperial Assault' uses about 35mm figures which might just pass for the right scale. Might be a little short for a Stormtrooper but close enough
  20. I found this picture a while ago and I have a great need to try and recreate it... I love the MG on the roof, the extra sensors, the winch and the kill markings I was thinking maybe some chain anti-missile defences hanging off the back like an Israeli Merkava perhaps to protect the moving bits, maybe a bit of mesh on a frame over the machinery at the back. Throw a bit of stowage on and see what it looks like
  21. They look smashing Don't suppose they have a Thunderchild do they?
  22. Going to be a showstopper Just the sheer presence of the thing...
