  1. Has anyone tried combining this product with Silly Putty?. I accidentally let a piece of the black colored masking putty come into contact with a piece and couldn't get them apart, so I kneaded them together. The result was a grey putty that seems to have better adhesion to the surface of painted plastic. My only complaint about the regular black colored putty is that it doesn't stick very well to a surface. I haven't done much more with the combined putty yet, but I'm inclined to experiment further with it.
  2. You must be a magician. I've tried four times to get one together and failed. Im not going to even look at their new F-84F kit.
  3. That is true. But I have heard that many of the other kits are difficult to build, or have shape issues, or lack details. Look at all the stuff that this kit comes with. It even has the option to do a recon Mustang. Wow!
  4. Great kit. I wish they would release it in 1/48 Scale.
  5. After nine years I have returned to modelling and I am again working on the Tamiya P-51B kit. I have had better luck with it this time. I have made the missing plywood cockpit floor from plastic sheet. I an happy with my efforts. I will try to show a pic of the finished product.
  6. Let me get back to you on that topic. I need to do some more testing.
  7. I like the new Mission Models paints.

    Brush Painting

Has anyone else ever tried stippling paint onto a models interior parts, i.e. wheel wells, jet intakes, landing legs. ? I have been experimenting with this old technique, mainly with white acrylic model paint which is a pain to brush paint. I find that using thin paint applied with a small flat sable gives acceptable results. No brush marks and more even coverage. Best to let each coat dry for about 30 minutes between coats. Just wanted to share this with you folks. Maybe it is old news.
  9. There has been a "mishap" with this project. It may not get finished anytime soon. Nothing new for me.
  10. These are not the pictures I meant to post but I'm tired of this for now.
  11. I am having nothing but problems with Flickr.
