    acrilyic wash

    It should make a good wash as alot of modellers X-19 Smoke. Ratios are not my forte - I rely on eyesight, but you would probably want an ink-like consistancy, so something like 8-10 thinner to 1 paint perhaps. I would imagine that any paint thinned with appropriate thinners to an ink-like consistancy should make a good wash, so long as you don't leave to dry for to long.
