  1. I don't blame you, it's a hell of a kit and in big demand. No progress on mine other than a bit of polishing so far, my spray booth is in the garage and it's been too cold do do anything out there until the last week or so. Wish MFH had got the licence to produce a few more 1/20th like this one, the detail in it is amazing. Not sure how the hell mine will turn out, at the rate I work, I'm expecting it to take up a year, minimum...
  2. Excellent, looking forward to seeing your work!
  3. Ah yes, fair enough. I've always wondered what happened to the OP's build.... I was hoping to pick up a few more tips myself!
  4. Hi Sennapod, I've got such a large 'stash' of kits, I've only just started it this week!
  5. Oh crap.... haha, I reckon even at my slow rate of work I'll be starting work on it before 2104! Expecting delivery of the T4 some time today or tomorrow. I only get three or four hours at most each weekend to work on my kits, so it's pretty slow progress I'm afraid. And this wintry weather's not great for airbrushing in the garage with no heating!
  6. Hi, I won't be starting work on the T4 until well into 2104, I'm currently trying to rescue a McLaren MP4/5B after totally bodging up the red paintwork.... I might post some pics up once I've sanded and re-painted it!
  7. Madmonk was right..... just got the import notification, and I owe Parcelforce £40! Ah well..... you live and learn....
  8. Hi, Ok, thanks, I'll have to get all the materials ready to start work after Christmas... only just started a McLaren MP4/5B at the moment.
  9. Still available online from Hobby Link Japan... Only £98 due to the favourable exchange rate...
  10. Funnily enough, that was the kit I chose when I returned to modelling a few years ago after a long, long absence - I was always a fan of Tyrrell and Patrick Depailler in particular... My completed P34 is now looking a bit rough around the edges (my already limited modelling skills had become very rusty in the intervening near-three decade sabbatical). But I really loved building this unique car - and I've now got two other versions (Tamiya '76 model and Fujimi '77 wide-axle version) to tackle in the future! Looking forward to seeing more pics.
  11. Hi Busdriver, Can I just ask what type of metal polish you used on the monocoque? Cheers, Fac63
  12. Hi, New member here. Following this with interest as I've just ordered the MFH kit.... I'm more used to building Tamiya/Fujimi 1/20 F1 all-plastic kits (with the occasional photo-etched after-market kit added), so this will be a massive challenge for me. I've already picked up some useful tips from this thread, great detailed pics and easy to follow.... big thanks and keep up the good work!
