Thanks for posting this, I have been drooling over this one since I got back to this hobby but it was always so expensive, I could not resist this opportunity.
-
I almost exclusively use Revell enamel, I prefer it over Humbrol. However on this build the body (Revell's yellow is ugly), headliner and sun visors are Humbrol the rest is Revell.

Progress has been slow lately but not at a stand still.
Instrument panel waiting to be glued on.
Bulkhead window has been glued in place,
The interior is very black but the headliner and sun visors will be light grey.
Radiator fans are ready.
...so are the roof and head lights.
Next I will finish the interior and paint the window frames flat black.

Wonderful seats and engine.

Beautiful, how do you make room for all these huge kits?

Just near the end of this model myself, What a nightmare to build. Nothing seems to fit. Pity I didn't fit body and chassis together as cmathewbacon had done on his model. I gave it a nice crimson red spray and beige interior and it looked fine, but on fitting it together it needs a few adjustments which affected the paint job.
I will be glad when it is finished, when I don't know, I have nearly had my fist on top of it a few times.
Still it keeps my mind alert and my heart pumping.
I have been there too, did your hood close properly? On my car the right side would not go down fully, had to do a lot of filing in order to get a decent result. Too bad the kit is so poor for such a beautiful car.
Looking forward to see some pictures of your E-Type when it is finished.

Had to take a break from my Lotus Esprit to finish this Camaro (it was supposed to be a Christmas present). Unfortunately I only had my poor phone camera at hand before I gave the car away so the pictures below are not the best; will try to get better ones asap. The car is not perfect but I am satisfied anyway.
In this WIP picture you can see what the yellow body color really looks like, it is Zero Paints Corvette yellow:

Many thanks for all the input.
It seems that in 1/12, the Datsun is the winner but now I'm looking more closely as the giant Aston DB5!!!
AARRGGHHH......
Roy.
Please do the Datsun, I have the same kit and I am sure it would help me a lot if I saw you build it first.
-
Great to see an update, wheels and interior look great and I am sure the latter will look even better with flat/semi-flat varnish.
-
Datsun 240Z gets my vote.
-
Looks great, well done!
-
I have started on the interior (satin black) and floor (flat black). You can also see a preview of my poor excuse for a wooden instrument panel; I will touch it up a bit before I consider it finished.
Happy holidays everyone!

Looks amazing!

It is easy to see why Pocher kits are not cheap.
-
Looks amazing! How was this kit to build? I am interested in getting one.
-
Really nice one.

I have heard it said that this kit, along with the Aston in the same series, is unbuildable.
Please don't say that I own both kits.
-
Wow that thing is huge, think I would have to move to a bigger apartment if I ever was to build one.
-
I have this kit in my stash and I wish I can build it as beautiful as yours.
-
That's a good idea, I use jars similar to these: http://www.hiroboy.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=48_97

I airbrushed a body using Humbrol paint a week ago and even though I thinned the paint according to their recommendations ( 2 parts paint, one part thinner) it got too thinned and was not easy to work with. I will try to thin the paint even less next time and I suggest you try the same.

It says 1994 on the box and one of the pieces had 1993 or 1994 molded in.
There is a similar Esprit (Lotus Espirit Turbo) available on ebay but only if you live in the UK I am afraid.
-
Here is a preview of the painted body, it is not 100% finished yet.
The interior and floor are painted as well.

Nice dashboard, is this kit giving you a headache yet?
