when the season is good and icing conditions is low, the deicer boots would be removed to obtain a better speed and reduced the consumption. The drag of this boots decrease the speed , 15/20 mph. on this image de icer is in place https://media.gettyimages.com/photos/14th-december-1944-a-b25-mitchell-of-180-squadron-being-repaired-in-picture-id3380008?s=2048x2048, but black rubber does no contrast with camo paint, we can see along the de icer boot the engine gray paint which protect the cement and the metal strip as stipulated by the EMM / installing:

This aircraft is an P40 N-1 for four reasons: - there is bead sight only, (the ring sight is omitted on N models) - the rear vision mirror is inside windshield (only on N) - the landing gear visual position indicator protrude the wing above ldg strut (L & N models) - the rear vision window is early type

it's not a brake line but safety lock to avoid open the oil filler plug before releasing pressure of strut. on left, brake line, the rigid line(blue) then flexible hose(red) on right the safety lock(red)

exotic hawk, great work, très sympa. I notice that A7 had two guns wing as P36 and H75A1 and early A2, or it was four guns wing but two was mounted only? Belle pièce, la silhouette est bien rendu et la finesse de travail et peinture excellentes. Bravo yes, I have, the oil cooler is at bottom, just aft the engine and slightly s't"board offset 1 inche

seeing the sprues and instructions sheets I note some wrong details: the control stick had two tubes only, one torque tube for aileron and one rod push pull for elevator. This rod was in center line on H75-81/P36-40C, and had right offset on P40D/H87 up,, so the part E26 must be ommitted. the hydraulic hand pump was a double cylinder and the shape of handle was curved as a "?", not straight as E22 There was not shoulder straps(PE1) but a safety belt only on top of wing if the size of ammo door is correct, the little door to loaded the gun is too narrow, it is near square shape.
