I think you’re right a little bit. The engines sit at 3° positive aoa where the wings sit at six. This is an order for the fuselage to have a level platform for bombing from high-altitude. The other thing you have to consider is these real pictures are of a B-52H with TF-33 engines. The model is a G, which has J-57s.

That is not a good reference shot. There are some light tricks going on there. Yes...the ALCM rotary launcher has two “ bulkhead” type mounting yokes and not a drive like depicted. The lower ALCM on the launcher almost touches the bomb bay doors when closed. The upper portion of they bay is the mid body fuel tanks...

I did get the Akin from LH but that is a little hit or miss. I just ordered the MRP from Hobbyworld so I will be giving that a try soon... Sorry to highjack the thread a little Ian . Looking forward to seeing more MiG!

Looking good. I like the cockpit color. While it's bright, by the time you close up the canopy, it will look great. I've had the damnedest time finding good "modern Russian" paint in the US. It's difficult to get the Akin and the standard fare around here is Tamiya (my point of choice) and Testors. I'm stuck on a 1/32 Su-27 and Mig 29A I'm waiting to find the right paint for. I'm going to try some Mr. Paint but that's a mail order situation...

I love the size comparison...nice add to the build! It really gives you a sense of how big the Apache is and how much smaller the Hind is in real life! Too me, Hinds always looked big and bulky until I saw one in real life.

Watching with interest. I like the Edward stuff it looks really crisp, however there's nothing as therapeutic as trying to touch the little cockpit protrusions with a cocktail stick with a dab of paint on it. Especially when I keep hearing the voices in my head arguing about the color. I know this will be a sharp build! They always are!
