Vac form - nah, not for me. 1930s- nah, not for me. Airliner - nah, not for me. Silver - nah, not for me. All these things aside, this is a truly stunning looking build. And this is the first time I have commented on a build in a while. Well done mate, this is an amazing looking aircraft.

Thanks very much for the help. Holzhamer - yes I have had great fun hacking away the cannon bulges. Hasegawa actually provided resin inserts to fit in to the bulges from the inside of the wing to help with filing them back. Great pic Vonbraun!

Hi, I am currently converting the Hasegawa 1/48 Bf109 E3 to an E1 which involves removal of the 20mm guns and drilling holes further inboard for the 7.92mm. My question is, do I remove the panel lines for the removable 20mm panel at the wing leading edge, too?

I remember meeting Bob Iveson on an E3D coming back from Akrotiri. I never knew his story back then, but he seemed like a nice bloke. I bet he would love one of these for his desk top.

British Airways 777 Catches fire at Las Vegas

The first stage of the fan may look intact, but the most likely area for failure will be in the turbine area. There appears to be damage to the cowling showing an explosion or failure from inside. Time will tell. I did hear that these were not RR engines either. Can anyone confirm this? -
It sounds like the USAF are going to buy the A400M. Not bad for a white elephant. http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/international/business/airbus-to-decide-on-a380-revamp-this-year/articleshow/47640772.cms

Just a point of interest. The price so far is pretty eye watering.

My internet is playing up, and won`t let me link to the PoW and DoY instructions. Let me know if you still need these instructions, and I`ll give it another go. Regards, Dave -

Hi Gisbod. My Warspite thread is on another forum, and is a little neglected at the moment. I may shift to over here, too. I am on the verge of starting a couple of WEM 1/350 resin kits to get my mojo for the Warspite back via some easier, quicker builds. The Pontos add ons are superb. My main tip would be to use the pdf instructions they have on line, and enlarge the images on your computer screen. The instructions with the set are just too small to fully understand. You seem to be an excellent modeller, judging by your Z39, so this should turn out to be a stunner. Regards, Dave -

This should be excellent! I am bogged down with my 1/350 Warspite and Pontos set, but I hope to eventually get started on the PoW kit and Pontos to make the KGV when she fought the Bismarck. Regards, Dave. -
Flying in a Cranwell JP TMk5A tail number 3 back in 1985. I went up first thing in the morning in what was known as the weather ship, to check cloud base height etc. It included a low level beat up down the runway, barrel rolls and going vertical before dropping back down in a stall turn. Sitting in the back of a Herc when they did those near vertical drops to land over in Kosovo etc was interesting, but the view was crap. I also had a nice flight in a SAR Sea King from Brawdy. The worst were spending 12 hours in the back of an E3D whilst it did figure of eights over the Arctic Circle.

One thing about leaving the flaps down was that it made it awkward to fit a winder on the inboard rail on the inboard pylon (wet pylon with underwing tank). It was possible to do, but could result in scratching the paint work with... the wheelie bits on the missile fins....I am a sootie
