  1. Hat's off to you on the build- and more particularly, on that paint job!! Cheers Shaun
  2. If that's "clueless" give me clueless too! You've done a great job and your armour building skills have transferred well to aeroplanes! Cheers Shaun
  3. You have built a beautiful Tomcat there. I really like your weathering and finish. Cheers Shaun
  4. Thanks Dave I'm sure Revell will send bits to Australia at present so I shall resort to my (very basic) scratch building skills...can't be too hard can it (famous last words!!) Cheers Shaun
  5. Hi all The carpet monster has managed to swallow 2 of 4 under-nose antenna for my Revell Eurofighter Typhoon. Does anyone know of an aftermarket resin replacement please? I know Eduard do an etch set but I am loathe to pay for a whole etch set for these little bits. Thanks! Cheers Shaun
  6. You have an absolutely beautiful Sea Vixen there! Your finish is stunning. Cheers Shaun
  7. Understood Pappy I have recently finished a KH Jag single seater (see Ready for Inspection). It certainly does have some fit issues with closed panels but nothing particularly earth shattering. I too have the Airfix kit and robbed bits and pieces to build the KH Jag- most notably the tanks and pylons...and other bits that I lost during the build-gotta get stronger glasses. I must admit the majority of the difficulty I had in building the kit were self-induced by not following the instructions- knowing too much for my own good! I have a T2/T4 to build and will keep an eye out for another GR1/3 as I'm keen to do a late model grey one- maybe someone will be scared off by the various build reviews!! I probably have some left over decals for a camo aeroplane if you need any? Cheers Shaun
  8. Lovely job indeed! The Monogram kit still holds it's own doesn't it! Cheers Shaun
  9. Which Jag are you building Pappy??
  10. A brilliant model there. The "metal work" looks very realistic! Cheers Shaun
  11. That is a brilliant conversion you have completed. I have tried the same but mine is nowhere as good as yours! Cheers Shaun

  13. That's an absolute stunner!! Beautiful job- thanks for sharing. Cheers Shaun
  14. Thanks everyone for your feedback. It was very remiss of me in my original post not to acknowledge the help of many who know much more about Jaguars than I. So thanks to the following Britmodellers for your advice: Stever 219 Phone Phixer Ossington bentwaters81tfw Julien Jag Rigger It takes a village to build a cat! Cheers Shaun
  15. Hi all I am calling this done- Kitty Hawk's 1/48 Jaguar. It wasn't the most enjoyable build and I must admit that I nearly gave it up a couple of times but cracked on as it really IS a lovely looking aeroplane and I wanted a model of it in my cabinet... I had many problems with this build (some of my doing and some not), culminating in a cracked windscreen due to a glancing bird strike at low level... No idea what happened to the fuzzy pic, but you get the general idea!! Cheers Shaun
  16. You have produced a stunning Gnat there! It looks even better in that scheme than I thought it would... Cheers Shaun
  17. Looks great- never enough Phantoms!! Cheers Shaun
  18. A phantastic Phantom Iain! A wonderful example of a classic machine. Cheers Shaun
  19. You've done a terrific job on this- thanks for sharing. Does the model need nose weight? If so, how much did you use? Cheers Shaun
  20. Your Neptune has turned out really nicely Mike. A wonderful job on an unsung hero! Cheers Shaun
  21. That's a brilliant build...and to think it's 1/72!!! Cheers Shaun
  22. That looks absolutely stunning! What was it like to build? Cheers Shaun
