Thank you both very much. I will be building my MIG29 with upper intakes closed and main intakes fully open.
Your help is much appreciated.

Thanks very much for your reply DoctorGaz
The images you shared are brilliant-thank you.
I'm not planning on putting any blanking on either intakes. Do you have any images of an aircraft with the blanks removed and that show the main intakes closed by any chance please?
Thank you very much for your help.Regards

Hi all
Looking for some advice on the upper and main intake positions for a MIG 29 when the aircraft is shut down and unattended (i.e. cold) please. I understand that the upper intakes are closed but cannot find definitive images to show the position of the front intakes.
Any advice is welcome-thank you.Regards

Hi all
Latest projects -Airfix 1/48 Meteor F.8. I didn't like the yellow tail so found an image of the aeroplane without it and went from there...

Beautiful work on the Sea Venom...and others.
Are there any particular references you found useful for building the CA kit?- 1

A great looking Sea King. I lived in Nowra during the 70’s, so saw a lot of these in the original scheme, at least those that didn’t fall into the ocean 🙄.
Thanks Steve
I must admit I like the look of the early scheme... -

Lovely model Shaun.
The new airfix kit is great but the old Hasegawa kit can be made into a lovey Seaking as you have demonstrated beautifully.
You pulled off the conversion to a RAN machine perfectly.
Thanks very much Alx
I've still got several in the stash with conversions for various Brit versions and a German Navy Mk41 -

Sensational job Shaun. I’ve seen a couple of these in the early scheme now, and it’s made me rethink doing my original idea of doing a LOTE scheme
Great stuff

Thanks very much Bruce!
We both know the solution to your conundrum...build two!!

Thanks all
Fight's On- Some photo references would have been great to see. There's very few around- particularly regarding weapon configuration. I managed to find out that for RESCAP operations, LAU-3As were carried on the outboard stations and that he jettisoned his tanks (with integral pylons) before engaging the MIG.
I have a set of decals for when he flew F-105s too, which I'll get around to building at some point.

Thanks MC
I didn't do a very good job of moving the window...but it's good enough from a distance!!

Thank you everyone.
Yes it was the Trumpeter kit, with an aftermarket intake and decals.
I've got a Misty FAC to build too at some point...not sure if I'll use a replacement intake next time.

Thanks CJP
I think the Airfix kit still needs the port side cabin window to be moved...though I haven't seen the kit that closely yet.

Thank you Ray.
The biggest hassle was moving the Port cabin window aft...everything else pretty well falls together.

Hi all
My latest model- Don Kilgus' F-100 in 1/48. Interesting story to this being the only MIG claimed by an F100 pilot in Vietnam War.

Hi all
Does anyone know of a conversion set to make a 1/48 MIL mi8T from the current MIL8/MIL 17 kits please?
I'm planning on building a German version...
Thanks very much

That looks pretty definitive, doesn't it?
Pods on outboard stations only, per Geoffrey's comments.
Thank you both for your help.
