  1. My 3D work: http://jamesmargerum.deviantart.com/gallery/
  2. The three pocket TIE models, the Y-wing, AT-AT and pocket Snow Speeder are 1:72 (or very close to it).
  3. This is a company that sells a 1:72 TIE Fighter in a box that says 1:110 scale. It's probably best to ignore any numbers on Revell Star Wars boxes.
  4. This is interesting: a new Falcon glue kit from Revell? http://www.rebelscum.com/2015-Toy-Fair/2015-Toy-Fair-Revell-Star-Wars/image8.asp
  5. They are only £14.99 on Amazon. And yes, it really is that big.
  6. My Revell Falcon: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.336433203230765.1073741837.100005922638623&type=1&l=c44bf6069f Still a lot to do.
  7. I got one too. It's made from PE, so paint won't stick to it unless you apply adhesion promoter before the primer. Ideally PE should be flamed and wiped down with alcohol first, but I'm a bit worried about melting the details.
  8. Or, you could buy the new Hasbro Hero Falcon, and Mike Salzo upgrade kit, and probably save yourself about £700.
  9. There is a build PDF for this kit here that might help: http://yumen.chicappa.jp/ModelersBible/ The text is Japanese, but the pictures are very helpful.
  10. There is also a new, UK made, upgrade kit for the MPC: http://www.therpf.com/f11/haystack-hairs-mpc-falcon-upgrade-kit-thread-215535/index4.html
  11. I am building an accurised Revell Falcon and have an old MPC in my stash. The Revell Falcon is the smallest of the three '1:72 scale' Falcons but has the same sidewall height as the much bigger MPC/AMT kit (which was already too high). Just like the MPC, the mandibles and jawbox on the Revell are too long. The inspection pits are molded into the hull, which makes it look toylike. However, the Revell cockpit has the correct proportions and just needs to be moved in closer to the hull - unlike the MPC which needs the whole cockpit tube rebuilt. The engine deck details on the Revell are generally more accurate than the MPC, but have been badly oversimplified in places (round pegs instead of vents for example). Be prepared to do a lot of cutting.
  12. I got a few issues with the idea of doing a 'Hasbrostini' toy conversion but, from what I have seen so far, there is no way it's worth £900. They may have had copyright problems because the photos show the Master Replicas Falcon and not their own product. Also the Finemolds 1:72 is being re-released next month and some people may have dropped the magazine in favour of buying that.

  15. I added Odyssey, Prometheus and the Planet Express ship.
  16. It is a lot of money, but it's actually not much more than the Lego X-Wing.
  17. It had one of the best ships on TV http://3djinn.deviantart.com/art/Odyssey-349595620
