  1. Thank you for the kind words, the manufacturing time is mainly as a guide for getting brass parts cast if I do not have them in stock at that point in time. However sometimes other little hiccups and or obstacles get in the way of casting and or getting the time to pack up orders. However I always like to clear orders as soon as I am able to, otherwise it causes extra confusion on my side.
  2. Mmm not my most favourite but as I said I will buy at least one, but that may become quite a few models even one of each per version!! Oh well wait and see
  3. I like the idea of a Hurricane family in 1/48, let us be honest it almost has to be an aircraft that they can do a family, it is Eduard’s way and make sense for all the accessories they produce. Whatever it is I will more than buy at least one:)
  4. 6. WOW Charlie that’s great news, one way or another I really need / want to get one. It seems strange that they will only be sent to SA, to my mind that would certainly limit sales, there are a LOT of us boertjies all over the world. Also I am sure there are a lot of modellers that have an interest in the SAAF and Mirage iconic variations. ALL SAID AND DONE GREAT NEWS BRING IT ON.
  7. Hi Andy All being well your sets should be with you tomorrow or the day after. cheers Ali
  8. The project has now got enough subscribers for me to start printing, I will email and send PayPal invoices as and when each customers orders are ready.
  9. Thanks for the heads up Stephen, this should be a great kit, here are most of the images from Facebook for those that are too lazy, or are too scared of Facebook Dear all, Glad to announce that the designing of our Mirage IV A,P in 1/48 has been accomplished. Hope you like it. Your comments are wellcome as usual! ========================== Дорогие друзья! Рады сообщить Вам о завершающей стадии проектирования 3D модели нашей новинки Mirage IV A и P версии в 1/48 масштабе! Мы постарались наиболее точно передать геометрию и детализацию данного самолета! 10. Spey Phantom intake and exhaust parts for 1/32 scale Tamiya conversion I have been fortunate to be involved to a small extent and now to a much larger extent on making these parts available to modellers that either have the Cutting Edge conversion or who are prepared to do a fair bit of kit bashing them selves, to produce a BRITISH PHANTOM from the Tamiya F-4J Phantom kit. This project has mainly been driven by the talented modeller Anthony Galbraith, who is doing a mammoth build on Large Scale Planes, see the link here https://forum.largescaleplanes.com/index.php?/topic/86105-raf-fg1-xv571-wild-hare-phantom-conversion/ The next important person in the chain is the CAD designer Kerry Carlyle, who got on board as a favour to help Anthony out with some of the tricky parts and that would be impossible to design with this amount of detail by good ‘old’ modelling methods. The other important person who brought Anthony, Kerry and myself together is Rick Godden, so that completed the team. However as you will see on the LSP thread above there have been quite a few others guys that have chipped in with information and pictures to assist. At this point it has been handed to myself to see the interest and the viability of producing these sets for modellers. However as this is NOT a full complete conversion, I really feel that before I spend a lot of time settting up the optimum printing orientation, and taking firm orders, it would be beneficial to see the demand for this set. Kerry has invested a lot of hours in developing and reworking the set in conjunction with Anthony, and it is to that end that Kerry would also like to see some return financially for all his hard work. He and I have now struck a deal that providing we have enough interest will firstly benefit him and secondly if the interest is sufficient I will look at adding even more parts to enable the conversion from J to K/M Phantom that little bit easier, not promising any defined time line, or what I may offer. As many of you will know I was planning this conversion a few years ago, then we got promised a full kit, and although that may still happen……one day this may still work out the best way to get some of the best detailed parts for the Spey. Without trying to make comments on each photograph here is quite a few from my initial TEST PRINTS, and a few more lifted from the LSP BUILD tht is linked above that show the fit on the kit. The first picture shows what is included in the set, there is a total of 32 parts, the set will retail for £30.00 plus shipping. As a guide the shipping will be as follows £3.00 for the U.K., £7.00 for Europe, and £10.00 for the rest of the world, this will be standard airmail, tracked will be extra. To make this a worthwhile project we require an order book of at least 20 sets. All of these parts will be 3D printed resin as shown in the pictures. The only way that I can sort and arrange a list of interested customers is through my email address at aerocraftmodels@gmail.com Once the poll is complete, end date for initial interest, will be till the 12th September 2021, if sufficient numbers have been attained the set will go live on my website aerocraftmodels.com and each interested party will be emailed. The first sets will be mailed out around the beginning of October.
  11. Hi Jari could you check this link as it gives me a 403 error when I click on it cheers Ali
  12. I am looking forward to receiving my one tomorrow. I am really curious to see the product and what all is included in the box. I bought it because I like it but there is very little information, well that I could find, maybe I have not looked in the right places, on this thread, Hannants or on Aircraft in Miniature site as to what contents will be in the BOX. I am hoping that there will be a few good decal options.
  13. Two new sets out today. An alternative screen for the new Tamiya Phantom in 1/48 scale and a new Canopy and separate wipers for the Airfix Vulcan. https://aerocraftmodels.bigcartel.com/product/mcdonnell-phantom-f-4b-alternate-front-screen-for-tamiya https://aerocraftmodels.bigcartel.com/product/avro-vulcan-canopy-and-screen-wipers-for-the-new-airfix-kit
  14. Once again the same errors have slipped in to producing correct cowlings for the Centaurus engine aircraft, so here are some 3D printed corrected parts to assist. https://aerocraftmodels.bigcartel.com/product/hawker-tempest-mk-ii-corrected-cowling-full-for-special-hobby-and-eduard-kits https://aerocraftmodels.bigcartel.com/product/hawker-tempest-mk-ii-corrected-cowling-cut-for-special-hobby-and-eduard-kits
  15. This set is now available to purchase https://aerocraftmodels.bigcartel.com/product/westland-whirlwind-brass-undercarriage-for-special-hobby-kit
  16. This set is now available https://aerocraftmodels.bigcartel.com/product/p-51-b-mustang-exhausts-for-the-trumpter-kits
  17. This set has been developed to assist with elongating the tricky assembly in the kit of the main undercarriage and offering a greater strength element to both the main and tail wheel undercarriage parts. https://aerocraftmodels.bigcartel.com/product/westland-whirlwind-brass-undercarriage-for-special-hobby-kit
  18. With the assistance of Ralph Atallah there are now a set of 3D printed exhausts for the P-51B kits https://aerocraftmodels.bigcartel.com/product/p-51-b-mustang-exhausts-for-the-trumpter-kits
  19. In the same way the cowling was incorrect on the Airfix 1/48 Sea Fury the same has happened again, with these kits. However the resin additional pieces included in the Special Hobby kit to offer an open detailed engine, are correct. So with this they know what way is correct but they did not amend the main parts the injected moulded fuselage pieces, frustrating but I have produced some 3D drawn and printed parts to correct the error. https://aerocraftmodels.bigcartel.com/product/hawker-tempest-mk-ii-corrected-cowling-full-for-special-hobby-and-eduard-kits https://aerocraftmodels.bigcartel.com/product/hawker-tempest-mk-ii-corrected-cowling-cut-for-special-hobby-and-eduard-kits
  20. You are correct Dave, decals are done, I am still trying to capture the correct lines for the nose and the inline engines, they are not just bang on merlons they have a few distinctive that are not on any other aircraft, also the nose varies quite a lot, and like so many of these types they changed an awful lot while being developed and in production. I stand to be corrected, it is a while since I read my info but I seem to recall that there was around 160 airframes built, when the Mosquito took over the intended role / roles many of these were apparently used for OBOE training and other tasks, but a lot were also scrapped. The radial engine version and conversion shown I think was only 1 airframe, possibly a few more, so that is why I am doing the in-line one as there are more options. Information is scarce but I have gathered quite a bit over the last few years, but there is still arguments that the wing span was greater and that the tail planes were larger in span as well. So far I have not seen or had conclusive evidence on the wing span, I do not think they did, BUT THERE COULD HAVE BEEN SOME? As For the tail plane once again some may have been fitted with the greater span elevators that were fitted to Wellingtons but that would be it in my mind and investigations. IF anybody has any 100% conclusive evidence then please do get hold of me. No promises but I will try and move this project on fairly soon. Ali
