  1. Hi Ozzy. Great to have you here and hopefully we'll get this GB through to the bunfight.....and beyond! I have added you to my list in the first post. I like your proposed idea too! We could have a good range of vehicles produced at this rate! Kind regards, Stix
  2. Hi Darryl. If this STGB gets the go-ahead, then I'm sure we can all try and encourage you to get a build across the finish line! Thank you for signing up and I have added you to the list in the first post. Kind regards, Stix
  3. Hi Grahame. With this immense amount of choice, can we tempt into building something in this GB if it goes ahead? Kind regards, Stix
  4. Hi Kris. When I found the Eduard set in the box, I was really pleased. I often buy Eduard (or other etched) sets for kits, but most of the time I go for just grill sets and the odd few extras. But then, when I started checking the packet, I realised I cannot remember buying this upgrade set as I'm pretty sure it has as many etched parts as the kit has plastic ones! If not more! I'm afraid I think it is too much for a STGB build, but the possibility of this GB has brought this kit and etch set higher up my 'to build' list. Kind regards, Stix
  5. Great to see you here Wayne, thank you for your interest. Do you already know which kit/version you might make if the GB goes ahead? I will add you to the list! Kind regards, Stix
  6. Hi Graham. Fantastic to see you here too. Yes, until @modelling minion suggested the Stuart as a possible STGB subject, I hadn't realised how many variants there had been! I will get you added to the list in my first post. Kind regards, Stix
  7. Hi Mig Eater. Fantastic! I always enjoy your projects! Hopefully we'll get this GB through, so we can see what you decide! I will add you to the list. Thank you. Kind regards, Stix
  8. Oh cool! It does look to be a great kit. I have the original Academy version and it's on my possible list of kits for this GB. The only thing is, I also purchased the Eduard PE set for it and there are a lot of parts included...and I mean A LOT!! It makes the kit box weight a lot more than you'd expect! It may be too many etched parts for a GB build. I will see nearer the time. I may go for the more recent Tamiya kit which I also have. Kind regards , Stix
  9. I hadn't seen that kit until someone mentioned it earlier, now it's definitely on my 'to buy' list!! I probably won't make it for this GB, as I have a couple of suitable kits already in the stash to make. But the Tamiya 1/48 kit does look impressive. Kind regards, Stix
  10. Fantastic to have you here Ed. Thank you. I will get you added to the list. Any ideas of what kit you might make? Hi planecrazee. Fantastic to have you here too. Which kit are you thinking of making from your stash? And I will get you added to the list in my first post too. Kind regards, Stix
  11. Hi sardaukar. Great to have you here! The M8 is fine. It is on the list but kind of lost at the end of the section - "Self-propelled gun based on M3 chassis. 75 mm M1A1 pack howitzer was mounted in a boxy superstructure. The project started in September 1941 and was abandoned in April 1942. Only two were produced, 75 mm Howitzer Motor Carriage M8 was chosen to be produced instead". I will add you to the list. Kind regards, Stix
  12. Hi Jack. Great to have you signed up, thank you. Either of those sound like excellent possibile builds. I have added you to the list. Kind regards, Stix
  13. Hi Craig and Richard. The Gallery has been unlocked, so @spruecutter, if you'd like, you can add five photos of your splendid Leopard to the Gallery. It certainly deserves to be on show with the rest. Kind regards, Stix
  14. Hi Richard. Wow! Absolutely fantastic result. I can only echo all the comments above. Superb modelling all round. Very well done! @modelling minion if it’s okay with you, I can unlock the Gallery so Richard can post five photos of his completed build? We only really needed the Gallery locking if we were going to have voting. Please let me know what you think. Kind regards, Stix
  15. Fair enough. Sorry you won't be taking part. Kind regards, Stix
  16. Looking at the Missing-Lynx review, I totally agree!! Very good price too! Thank you again for bringing it to our attention! Definitely going to have to get one! Kind regards, Stix
  17. Thank you Craig. I'll have a proper look on Scalemates, but it is certainly another one to slim the wallet down! Kind regards, Stix
  18. Hi @Kingsman. Can I just check if you want be added to the sign-up list for this STGB? Kind regards, Stix Plus, does anyone else want to join us as well?
  19. Glad to be of some use! Doesn't happen that often!! Hopefully this STGB will get through and we can follow your project! Absolutely!! Great to have you here - I have added you to the list in post 1. Wouldn't have been the same without you! Fantastic! I must admit I haven't seen that kit, is it new? ...........and I'm now going to have to get one! Thank you for signing up and I have added you to the list. Kind regards, Stix
  20. Hi Enzo. Thank you. I haven't checked through any of the GB rules recently and wasn't sure if there was anything in there generally with regards prototypes or especially paper versions. So I think we'll allow them in this STGB. "By the Power of Grey Hair!!" Kind regards, Stix
  21. Hi Dennis. That’s brilliant! Thank you for that. I personally have no problems with prototypes or paper versions. If it encourages someone to sign up and take part in this GB, that otherwise might not have done, then I’m all for them. I have a lot of admiration for those that either create something from scratch or modify an existing kit to such an extent. So I’m okay with them. If Craig @modelling minionand @Enzo the Magnificent are also okay with them then we could have them as part of the GB too. I think we need to get as many modellers involved as possible. Anyone have any other thoughts on the matter? I am happy for someone to persuade me otherwise, if they have good reason to. We could always have two Galleries. Kind regards, Stix
  22. I certain will! Thank you bigfoot. It would be great to have you taking part in this GB, if it gets through. And I agree, we do need an AFV GB in next year's calendar. And thank you - your signing up has meant we have officially got at least a third of the way to the 25 modellers we need to get this STGB into the bunfight! Kind regards, Stix
  23. Right. By my reckoning, we're already almost 1/3rd of the way to getting this STGB into the bunfight! We need 25 signups to qualify - so, if @Kingsman decides to sign up, we'll be over 1/3rd of the way there. To be fair, the next 2/3rds will be a bit more of a slog, but, you never know! Tell all your friends - your M3/M5 Stuart Single Type GB needs them!! Kind regards, Stix
  24. Hi John. I hope you and yours are well. That's great news! I'm going to look on the positive side here - I'm really hoping this GB get's the go-head so we can have one of you impressive projects taking place in this GB and I'm sure we'll get to see it completed and in the Gallery! Can't wait! I have added you to the list. Kind regards, Stix
