Hi everyone, This is the Academy kit I had finished two years ago with home-made panels added and already published. However I decided it deserved a better photo treatment and added some new photos with background shadows removed. No digital touching on the colors of the aircraft, fuselage grays vary under different light angles, hence the fifty shades of gray... Hey, this is a Raptor and it is supposed to look so Happy modelling...

Great idea, and a very realistic rendition indeed. All those small details need to be appreciated individually. Lovely nozzles, weathering, flaps and slats etc.. The torsion of the chute chord is no exception, and the dragchute itself for sure... And given the scale, entire model must be something like 80cm or so? One little comment, if I may, is that the rear canopy would better be pushed up a little bit to the right angle...

Convair B-58 Hustler (1/48 Monogram)
Can TARI replied to Seversky's topic in Work in Progress - Aircraft
Sometimes when I see such craftsmanship, I feel the model manufacturers -no matter how unintentional- good to keep their models at certain levels of detail and leave the rest to modellers... And in this way can we be introduced to real modelling skills... I hope the rest comes even better and we all see a superb Hustler... -
Yeah, now she's where she belongs to... Splendid as always... When you see a blue-to gray shaded photo of a model, you know that a masterpiece follows and this one's no exception...

Thank you for the encouraging remarks guys...

Marvelous! If you can turn an A-model into this, then you can possibly turn pumpkins into chariots

So realistic... Especially the exhausts, they look so real... And not to mention the weathering, the leaks and the rest looks great... Amazing job done... -
Absolute beauty !

This model simply adds another to my thousand reasons why the Phantom is the greatest plane ever. Superb indeed...

Another excellent example and proof that jets of the 50's to 70's look much better than software outputs of today's whatever-it-is-generation aircraft... A beauty and a treat-to-watch model...

Well done on the paint job and weathering, and especially on the custom made decals. Such a freedom it is to render almost whichever aircraft one wishes to build... -

Superb paint job, looks great! -
Haven't built in this scale for almost 30 years and as a jet guy have never built anything that needs propellers to fly, but for me this subject is nice to follow. Good work so far...

Hi everyone, Here's my rendition of Trumpeter kit as a Hun of the Turkish Air Force in 1:48 scale, which I last year built for the 40th anniversary of the Cyprus war. Kit comes with some shortcomings but definitely is buildable with smooth surface details and nice assembly. Not many things added, just some scratch building of the panels inside the flaps, cockpit and some work on main gear well doors, which Trumpeter gives as closed. Happy modelling...

The kit does not offer the reinforcement plates on the fuselage so I first drew on AutoCAD and I scratchbuilt them, too...

Here's the main gear well, where I added some scratchbuilt items...

Thank you so much, I'm glad you liked it... There are a lot of pictures of the cockpit I took during the build. I missed to publish them during the WIP stage, so let me now take the opportunity to add some more pictures in a few minutes

Thanks... As for the center tank clearance, yes there is enough ground and the tank is where it is supposed to be, but the surface I put the plane on during photograpy session is a little bumpy so that's how it seems. Nice comment
