  1. Two old men talking, one says "Do you know that you can get Viagra from Tesco`s now" "Over the counter ?" said the other man. "Yes, probably with two" said the first man. Simon.
  2. Good progres there Alistair. Always handy to look at the detructions mate LOL. Simon.
  3. I did Alistair, luckily the satin varnish protected the paint underneath so I was able to use a cotton bud dipped in IPA. Simon.
  4. Cheers lads, very much appreciated. Thanks Chris, you and @AliGauld pointed that out to me, I thought that as there are retracted they would be Sky. Thanks @cobraleader. As you may of read, I made an error, it has now been corrected. Amendment. Masked. Sprayed EDSG. Overspray, damn it and other words not printable here. A bit of deft masking and mist of Sky should do it. Simon, still happy.
  5. Downsizing for this build. After the 2 1/48`s I thought something smaller on the bench would be easier. It`s Eduard`s Hellcat F6F-3 in 1/72. The Profipack version, I don`t know why I got her but here she goes. Obligatory Boxtop pic. Three runners of their blue/grey plastic. One of clear. Two sheets of P.E. One sheet of P.C.M. Five marking options. And stencils. And it looks like I start with the cockpit with that P.E. I`ll finish off the "Goose" first though. Simon.
  6. I have got say Chris she is coming on a treat sir. Fine detailing. Simon.
  7. I am not sure on the canopy decals Alistair, but I will be loose fitting them anyhow. Thanks @Thom216, @coneheadff, @Hamden, @giemme, and @cobraleader. Well folks, I managed to get out into the cave this afternoon and get some more done. Stores fitted. Then the flaps. The doors, both bomb aby and front U/C. Here she is right way up. She is smiling... Just a few more bits to do now. Catapult hooks, aerials, rudder, crew to finish and the props to finish. Simon, happy so far.
  8. Two old guys, one 80 and the other 87 were sitting on a park bench one morning. The 87-year-old had just finished his morning jog and wasn’t even short of breath. The 80-year-old was amazed at the guy’s stamina and asked him what he did to have so much energy. The 87-year-old said, “Well, I eat rye bread every day. It keeps your energy level high and you’ll have great stamina with the ladies.” So on the way home the 80-year-old stops at the bakery. As he was looking around, the saleslady asked if he needed any help. He said, “do you have any rye bread?” She said, “yes, would you like some?” The old guy said, yes, 5 loaves please.” She said, “my goodness 5 loaves! By the time you get to the third loaf, it’ll be hard.” The old man says to himself, I can’t believe everybody knows about this! Simon.
  9. She looks good in "Back in Black" Alistair. I am glad that you sorted those pesky seams out. Simon.
  10. Looking smooth there Alistair. Nice work, we now await some paint. Simon.
  11. Said the bishop to the actress.... Simon.
  12. Those seams can be a nightmare at times Alistair but I am sure that you will beat the little blighters. Simon.
  13. Cheers Alistair, very much appreciated. Thanks Chris, again very much appreciated. No problem Colin, glad I could help out. Thanks @shortCummins, @coneheadff, @Thom216, @Keeff, @Bigdave22014, @giemme, @cobraleader, @Biggles87, and @Hamden. Well a day off yesterday, life got in the way, though this morning I cracked on with bits. Front U/C done. And main U/C done as well. Added the wheels next. Making sure that the flats were correctly placed. She is on her legs now. Rear prop done , added decals to the spinner. Front prop still needs some work doing to it. A nasty gap that refused to close for some reason, so filler... Added the decals to the canopies. Which was a pain, the bottom ones went on ok but after I did the front ones over the canopies the mid and rear ones did not play the game and shattered, damn and other words. I have left it there for today. Not sure whether I can get any more done tomorrow as it`s Mum`s birthday. Nearly finished, apart from the flaps stores, exhausts , aerials, arrestor hook, etc. Simon.
  14. Oh very nice Alistair. Not too grimy but shows a bit of use. Simon.
  15. Should be spit roasted with lots of crackling!!!!! Simon.
  16. Unless prevails, I can see another one finished before to long. Simon.
  17. She looks really busy around the engine bay Chris. A nice idea to get some seats in for the troops mate, something to work on elsewhere. Simon.
  18. Thanks @giemme, @coneheadff, @cobraleader, @Hamden, @robgizlu, and @AliGauld. After trying to give it a wash I gave up, it wasn`t playing the game so I gave in and gave her a coat of W&N Galeria Satin Varnish. And unmasked the cockpits. Other bits got a coat as well. Both sides. That will do for me today. Just leaves finishing the crew, prop spinners, flaps etc, but nearly done. Simon, quite pleased with himself.
  19. Yes Colin, I thinned the W&N with IPA in a 60/40 ratio varnish to thinner, sprayed through my H&S Evo with a 0.2 needle at about 10psi. Simon.
