    I will do just that, I have found a semi decent image on the walk around section of this site and it shows the grey goes into the intake like the fgr.2 scheme. Is it the new 1/72 academy kit? Anyways thank you for the help . Regards, David.

    This is excellent work. I recently brush painted a few kits and loved it, and as you say with a little patience and thin coats, results can be as good as an airbrush.

    Thank you for the help. So should I completely remove the inner pylons then? As nothing will be loaded on them, they just cause unnecessary drag. The phantom with the the EMI would have been an absolute sitting duck if spotted by enemy jets, having to ditch the expensive pod to escape would have been quite wasteful I guess but the only way to escape with having no AtA defence.     Yes I believe that is correct. I am currently building the fujimi FGR.2 and hopefully will be placing the build in the WIP forums, comparing the two pods. The Fujimi one seems underscale and too tapered to the rear. I only know 3 places to get the EMI pod in 1/72, the fujimi kit, matchbox kit or the odds and ordinance resin set. I am trying to purchase the latter atm but not sure if the OAO website is working .
