Due to outright " war" between SH/Eduard and AZ/KP, take everything about 72nd scale aircraft with more than a grain of salt, not saying that they won't release stated but plenty of surprise items will appear before some found on the list.

Ever since R-2800 was tooled for Corsair, have high hopes and cravings for P-47D-M in 32nd scale, but would be happy with anything new in 32, even Mosquito B.IV or early Spitfires.

There are parts for the ECR like wing gloves e.a. .
True, will see soon enough what is in the box.

So we have essentially stock Revell's Tornado IDS, without 50% of things that make ECR, for 2,5x price, great!..mean really, really issuing ECR box without including AGM-88 and its whole system, this is really pushing it, and Darwin's award to Revell for not being able to produce one sprue for ECR version, but again 80€ for IDS kit pretending to be ECR🙃

Kinetic cooperated with Italeri on their M-346, but what was stipulated regarding timeframe of Italeri's boxing I don't know.

Jaguar kits ( GR.1/3 and T.2 were planned) were cancelled when Kittyhawk kit appeared.

V.Šulc, CEO of Eduard said at least few times on modelforum.cz and ipmsnymburk.com that Eduard will produce their own 72nd scale Mustangs no matter those of Arma, this has also been written here at least five time in different topics, somehow this has become less forum, more of a chat🙃

Did they? The amount of boxing's Hasegawa do is quite a lot and I thought the limited editions were quite small in comparison, but maybe that's just memory failing me.
Quite right, Eduard once ( until Czech MiG 15 Dual Combo in 2013) released 1500 kits as Limited Editions, later the numbers went to 3500 per catalogue number for kits of Eduard provenance, which in 2021 is not in any way " Limited Edition", Hasegawa 1/48 in limited edition rarely went over 2500.
Regarding mentioned " Southern Star" boxing, truely odd that after going so much into Spitfire detail and history( Mk.II D.C) three major theatres/battles of war are covered by 1 boxing, truely, truely odd.

Expected separate MTO box, separate Malta box, and separate Australian box, and again too close to latest " The Sweeps" release in my view.

Hornby itself cited Typhoon tooling(a-z) in 1/24 cost as 38000£, first and last time they publicly announced tooling costs.
-
From online info( ipms nymburk) this went from short run to full mainstream tooling using current SH tech.

I suspect it's not actually done yet - I notice that Airfix have used quite low resolution images, which suggests that they're not quite ready to show everything off yet, but poring closely over the few closeup shots, it looks to me like the outer wings and tail have much more impressive surface detail than what's visible in the nose closeup - so I think they're only part way through detailing!
I would really like that to be true.Lets hope so.

A good one, and went straight onto my shopping list.
The price is fair for an 1:48 kit the size of a Bucc with the shown level of detail. Caveat: Airfix’s low-grade plastic that’s not exactly enhancing the surface detail and their shoddy quality control letting out kit after kit with manufacturing defects (my last four Airfix new-tool kit purchases all had issues).
I think that’s mainly why people perceive the price to be too high and don’t put Airfix in the same league as Tamiya, Eduard or GWH even though Airfix do good work in their R&D.
J
Its not perception, unfortunately its a fact, kits coming from India have poorest styrene quality of any mainstream manufacturer today, by far. Regarding detail, compare Bucc pics with any 48th.scale kit of comparable size issued in 2021 or before, lack of surface detail( will get it exactly as shown on CAD pics-no more no less) is beyond me, I gained at least some of my myopia numbers pouring over Bucc pics, this kit is underdetailed by a long shot, cockpit, wheel bays, weapon bay, very simplified, again getting back to omitted surface detail.
All well if you put it as Series 8 kit, but not as Series 12 with two latest price hikes in less than half a year. This is half hearted/ budget tooling for premium price.
I truely want a.) good Bucc kit b.) Airfix to thrive..none of which is happening with current Hornby policies.

Long overdue subject, will buy multiples, but new pricing for Series 12 is eye-watering.

More than happy, in " my ideal" Airfix catalogue/portfolio aside from announced Mk.IX.c, there should always be Mk.I.a, Mk.V.b and Mk.V.c in 24th scale, as a kid stocking model shop shelves in mid-late '80 remember quite vividly both talk and sales indicating that 24th kits and few oddballs like B-1 and AH-64 were biggest earners for Airfix and retailers alike....

My sincerest apologies, did ask and now received the following, both toolings-Zero and Wildcat totally new toolings, unrelated to any other manufacturer, first new Academy 1/48 toolings in a while.
CH-53 not Italeri but Fujimi.

Its 8 years since first announcement in 2014 about MiG-15 family in 48th scale, good thing is that we are back to three/four totally new toolings from Eduard yearly( Zero, Wildcat, S 199 anf 21F-13), there are plenty of announced subjects that are in the pipeline
Me 262, Mosquito, Hurricane, F4U etc..etc..

Regarding Zero and Wildcat retail list for 2022 " new tooled-cooperation", cooperation with whom aside from Eduard?..., if that is not the case than what are the odds of two mainsteam companies releasing the same two subjects in the same year?...Academy sends before Nürnberg detailed info on quaterly releases-we'll know for sure in 2 weeks time.

Still mourning the non-release of the 1/48 Bell 206 in 2018, 2019, 2020......😢
Way too much work to do 206B.III, and due to sloopy research they thought they could pull one out of stock ESCI -58A, and even did sprue with cable cutters and new instrument panel-its cancelled.
Biggest mourning on my part would be Jaguar in 48th cancellation.

Still cannot grasp that Airfix did not tool and release new Spitfire Mk.I in 1/24 for 80th anniversary of BoB and 50th anniversary of old Mk.I tooling in 2020, biggest omission in my view and hope that new Mk.I is on its way.
As for pricing, they better vastly improve both styrene quality and QC, rrp for what one gets in the box is already too high.

Italeri ( Rafale+53) and Eduard( Zero, Wildcat) re-boxings + A-10 as totally new tooled-great news due to fair pricing policies Academy sticks to, unlike Tamiya and GWH.
-
Italeri usually presents new releases at Nürnberg or few days before, as there were some changes in menagement and sales deptments, as well as new investments in tech, maybe 2023 will see better days for the brand, first two months no new tools( like F-35B), and as mentioned host of '21 kits still to be released. Looking foreward to 40th Falklands Anniversary( hopeful for HAS.3 and HU.5 Wessex re-issues)

Bit late to this, but got to say, I may have to buy one of these (or more ?) in 1/72 to have a good look at it. ( I've only built in 1/48 for about 20 years) It seems IBG have been doing their homework well, apart from that fin again maybe (?). But to second Tokyo Raider, it would be great to see it scaled up to 1/48, there really is a need in that scale for a good example of the D9, and in my opinion the Eduard kit ,as well as being difficult to build, has numerous inaccuracies and fails. What with the possibility of Japo finally doing Volume 3 of their series and this , maybe 2022 will be a good year for D9 fans.
With superlative research/degree of detail they ( IBG ) did, expect Dora both in 48th and 32nd scale, no manufacturer would go/ went through such meticulous research to cover just "lowest" price range/scale of certain subject.

Bold release, since Tamiya's effort is one of their best, at the same time big smack to Eduard and their laxed new tool 48th release schedule in the last few years.

Hellcats in 72nd are available again, aside from that again highly uninspired list of novelities in my view, 4 months after Tora...2 months after A6M2 Profipack now Zero...boxing of the same subtype, all fair, but spread it a bit, release it at a later date, way too many similiar boxings in short time frame, again in my highly subjective view they are truely milking it.
Not to mention price wise that of lately Dual Combos offer no value, price being double that of Profipack, unlike before when " second" kit offered almost 30% discount.
To finish the rant, also nice to see that "Limited Edition" by Eduard means- re-release of the same, nice slap to all who bought the kit for quite hefty price tag after the former being labelled as " discontinued" on their website...
