  1. Is that the same webpage where Mr.Sulc states that actually around 500 kits are sold and that the rest of the stock has been shifted to distributors/retailers.....
  2. Would not be the First time that Eduard manipulated sale results to achieve better sales, I have no doubt they are sold out at Eduard, question remains how many did they sell to distributors/retailers,my guess majority of them. From what I Know many of them were not so pleased with quite high Wholesale/rrp price for the kit. Again had they included all the new Brassin sets and whole cockpit, it still would not be a bargain(not that it should be) but would be a fair package, this boxing is a pure rip-off. But maybe I am wrong, maybe there truely is a loyal legion that will buy whatever has Eduard logo stamped on the box.
  3. Simply too expensive, had they included all new Brassin cockpit, wheels and exhaust than yes, ralative cheap G can be bought from many sources + truely superlative DACO Luftwaffe sheet. Eduard Limited Edition is definitely not what it was before, too expensive for what you get in the box, what is truely odd is now when then have local resin production thus unlimited add on and conversion possibilities subjects are everything than inspired. How about 1. Avia B-534 Luftwaffe Glider Tug 2. Spitfire FR.IX.c, Soviet Mk.IX boxing, Israeli Mk.IX w Operation Velvet specific parts 3. He-280 with comprehensive Brassin upgrade 4. Any other rebox from Hasegawa/Academy etc...just give more.....
  4. Everything wrong on their 1/48 kit is present in 1/72 CAD....tail, centre section and windscreen/canopy...if you watch Future Projects/ Novemberfest video on detailscalview.com, Eduard employees comment before mentioned CAD saying that omissions on 1/48 kit are rectified-hope they learned with Gustav
  5. Both c and e boxings will be made. Parts breakdown will be similar to that of their 1/144 kit.
  6. Andreas could you shed some light about the project, you already mentioned on another forum about this being a new class of kit coming from RoG... Thank you in advance. Tom
  7. As already mentioned Revell is to release new boxing of Ar 196 in 1/32 in February 2015..it is interesting to see announced subtype RoG plans to release..." B" as there where only three B-O aircraft built, featuring single cental float. Most likely that its a case of lapsus calami so which subtype will they release A-0/1/2 or A-5........ Regards Tom
  8. Outstanding News, taking quality and price into account, all in all I am just sorry their release schedule is a bit slow lately....
  9. What I do not get is why short run now when they are mastering long run tech. and Ar 96 really deserves to be tooled in latter given number and significance to Luftwaffe.
  10. Given how large percent of tooling costs go into engines, especially Napier Sabre my bet would be Tempest, but it may be too soon to capitalize fully that subject. Since FB.VI Mosquito is OOP would bet on earlier versions, if totally new tool.. Early-late Merlin Spits Tempest...maybe Gloster E.28/39.....
  11. I would like to think otherwise, but given Companies track record I would be very sceptical, much larger and experienced manufacturers would struggle to tool before mentioned list....Wish them all the best but seems a bit diletant to publish such a list given huge amount of resources needed to turn out those subjects...hope they prove me wrong...
  12. In 1/72 and 1/48 scales I do not think so, even with all the deficiancies they are among Airfix bestsellers and will continue to be so, both are entry level simple and cheap kits, for new Spitfire in 72/48 I would place my bet on Eduard. In fact Eduard alredy announced Mk,I in the series with Mk,V family. But I can see new 1/24 Spitfire Mk.I for 80th.BoB anniversary.....
  13. As WiP already mentioned, engine is in real 1/24 scale, also Merlin instalation on Spit/Mustang gives far more scale space than Sabre on Typhoon/Tempest thus I do not think it can be done other than in thin aluminuim foil.
  14. My wishlist 1/72 Avro York Avro Lancaster ASR Mk.III Avro Lancastrian C.1/2 1/48 Gloster Meteor F.8 D.H.88 Comet Buccaneer S.1 Westland Whirlwind HAR.10 in fact will be happy with anything, just please finer panel lines.....
  15. New Buccaneer both in 1/72 and 1/48 scale would be a huge seller, In my opinion far more than any other FAA kit in both scales, I do not doubt that both will be kitted in the future....
  16. Dont expect corrected G-6 soon, it will be totally new tooling and it will take time, Friedrich should come out early next year.
  17. V.Sulc already announced Mk.IX / Fw 190 Late family / MiG-21 later, B-534 has also been mentioned but if I am not wrong not confirmed. Revolution also means we will se Royal Class and Czech Limited editions of Mk.IX as in 1/48 scale.
  18. Everything you mentioned except Emil family, remains to be seen weather Dora will be included, and if four new kits means subtypes or not.
  19. Late Merlin Spitfires, Avia B-534 and Fw 190A-5 to A-8, probably D-9 too, after that 2nd/3rd Gen MiG-21.
  20. While I agree that Hasegawa is a very nice kit, it is also showing its age compared to rejuvenated 1/48 scale of last four-five years. If indeed Eduard tools new kit I am more than certain it will sell outstandingly well, especially if they do it accurately. Given in house resin manufacturing, Limited Edition boxing possibilities are endless.....
  21. Eduard has the conditions to produce easily the cheapest toolings in the business, so if they decide to produce new tooling it wont hurt them nearly as much as would most of their competitors in similar conditions. I find it very poor policy for a Company to ridicule and joke about their customers regarding more than valid negative critiques. Mr.Sulc in last month newsletter made some good and neutral points, but again this month continued with difamation- classic Eduard move seen before with MiG-21bis and Emil family whenever Company takes more than justified heat. I am more than certain Eduard will produce outstanding Friedrich and late Gustav families, as well as K-4 but am more than doubtful will see newly tooled G-4/6/14 kits in the next three-four years., remember Eduard botched Emil family too-still in their catalogue...hope they prove me wrong!
  22. Had 56 on preorder, had 49 cancellations, those persons who buy bulk-by bulk I mean more than 10 kits all cancelled their orders, in the first month sold 7 kits, compared to 60+Spitfires from 15th of April to 1st of May last year. As today do not have a a single preorder for Royal Class boxing nor Profipack one ....talking about negative effect ...
  23. Anyone who is not into accuracy should not read what follows. Just looking at the initial pictures showed that something is wrong with kit proportions, at first I thought RoG made windscreen too big and spiner too blunt, but having the model in my hand I can definitely confirm that from spiner to cockpit this is not a Spitfire Mk.II or Spitfire at all, when I will have more time I will make a more detailed observations , but Edgars list is unfortunately just top the of the iceberg..... On the postitive side rivets are far less pronounced than what can be seen on posted pics. Omissions on this model are big, this is not a G-6/10 Erla kit that has is flaws that can be relatively easily remedied-this kit has major shape issues not seen before in RoG 1/32 range from Tornado/Hunter onwards.
  24. My only complaint is the price and that omissions that were known in CAD stage were not addressed, HK Models produced a non finished product, how do I know that, because I am not the only now defunct Wingscale retailer that was shown detailed CAD images with all the areas that need to be improved before launch-this model represents those CAD images without any promised improvement. Regarding price, again how has RRP risen 35 % from Wingscale to HK Models, it was supposed to be 45 Euro model aimed at European market especially Netherlands, Begium and UK. Greed...greed..greed......
  25. Highly impressive, any problems with construction...or is it Tamiya looking from the pics...... Tnx! Tom
