  1. Most common date mentioned was two years from now for early Merlin family.
  2. Run away! I built this and Me 263 kit when they came out, extremely poor fit of underdetailed parts, somebody will sooner or later produce Skynight with current tech.
  3. My apologies all, should read more carefully before posting, wish Attack Squadron all the best with F2F and PR.XI.....will be getting both.
  4. I do not wish to diminish their work and vision in any way, but to tool resin 1/48 kit when there is superior styrene kit already on the market make no sense to me! In 1/72 absolutely and wholeheartedly yes, given current lack of mainstream kit ( those who built Special Hobby one know what I am talking about ) Its like someone making new Spitfire Mk.IX in 1/48 in resin when Eduard kit is readily available....truely odd!
  5. http://forum.largescaleplanes.com/index.php?s=75c30ef9346af1c75099dc1bdea7756e&showtopic=56507 Outstanding review , with ( at least for me ) surprising conclusions.
  6. Surprisingly poor fit ...... http://modelweb.modelforum.cz/2015/05/24/172-mig-15-uti-od-eduardu-stavba/#more-107444
  7. Yup, it was Pete, announced mid 2008, came out early 2009.
  8. Nice to see 1/48 Dual Combo editions coming back from Eduard, last real good one ( in my view ) being Fw 190 Nachtjager boxing of mid 2009, just hope that pricing policy did not change. Would be nice to see more Dual Combo boxings since they offered very good allround package. What about Israeli Spitfire MK.IXs,( giving new underwing tanks for Op.Velvet ) Russian Spitfire Mk.IXs ( with specific antennas and other small dif.) French Indochina Mk.IXs Photo-Rec. FR.Mk.IXs American Mk.IXs Very Early Mk.IXs ( conversions )
  9. Truely amazing, a new prop tooling from Hasegawa in 1/48 after almost seven-7 years !.
  10. After T.4/5 Lightnings in 1/48 expected late June, we can look foreward to two new toolings in 1/72 this year...there was some talk about early Raidens ( J2M2 ), other than that there will be no more boxings/guises of Ar 196 other than A-3.
  11. There is a definite and not welcome price hike for Revell kits in last six months, more so because its around 30% and I see daily that its going to be a big problem. Arado 196B for 39,99 euros, same for Fw 190F-8, it is not selling nor will it sell.....
  12. Got one, cough four too and in my opinion best Sword 1/72 kit till now, surface detail is outstanding, secondly they have in plan a detail set comprised of vacu.canopy and larger PE fret.
  13. I am selling current Ju 88A-4 for 47 Euros and Do 335B-2 for 197 Euros, even taking kit origin, difference in detail and different distribution this example clearly illustrates that HKM is pushing it too far. They did not learn with Meteor and continued with overpricing. Think they can sell boatloads of their kits but need to slash their prices by at least 20 percent-my view!
  14. Maybe our Swedish collegues can shed more light on Trumpeter/HB visit to Sweden last year in January, seems they made some deals ( research wise )regarding host of Swedish subjects to be made in upcoming years. Although I am sceptical, taking before mentioned into account maybe we will get accurate kits ( they proved that with their FAA kits).
  15. Kit is definitely overpriced, as a retailer my view is that HKM is pricing their kits app.25 percent too much, add to that that many retailers want to earn a lot of Money on " Premium " kits thus boosting their overhead and unfortunately you get prices like this.
  16. Outstanding News, that will insure accuracy that is unfortunately missing from some Kittyhawk products, as a retailer only doubt that I have is price, Kittyhawk 1/48 models are at least 25-30 percent overpriced for their quality, and price is the sole reason why this brand is not capturing european markets as it should given their very interesting portfolio.
  17. Unfortunately Trumpeter whole 1/72 Condor family suffers from gross inaccuracies, essentially pantographed 1/48 kit with all the omissions.
  18. Outstanding news-simply outstanding, if they make new Anton family to their " golden" Spitfire standard there is no doubt that it will be a huge seller, I have always been critical regarding Eduards omissions knowing they can do better, their Dora being true low point because they decided to implement all mistakes made on Anton into a "new" tooling...if they truely tool new kit... Now how about retooling Bf 110 and Emil few years down the road......
  19. Hasegawa not investing into new 1/48 toolings has nothing to do with Chinese Companies, they had all the time in the world to tool Viggen and Gripen as they intended ( Gripen may come...) it has to do everything with changing policies, poor management, shortsightness and more than a bit of arogance that alienated them first from modellers and eventually from retailers/distributors. Their Draken was true bestseller even in time of huge price hikes ( 2008/9 ), especially non limited F/J and SF-35 boxings, and there is no doubt in my mind that had they continued with Viggen it would be even greater success. I wish Tarangus all the best, but by outsourcing their kit to MPM Group they left space for another company to make ultimate(or close to) kit. All of the before mentioned when tooling costs dropped to never before seen prices and when future "full run" companies like MPM are making huge advances in quality...
  20. Wondering where is all the detail that has been mentioned by Airfix, just to remind that Revell kit is fully riveted as real helicopter, looking at the sprues very, very plain...hope that I am wrong....
  21. Cannot see how Christmas wish list is comparable to Airfix wish list or any other similar topic here on rumormonger that is actually read by manufacturers themselves,,,, I can retitle the topic saying Sword Models Rumors etc...
  22. Title says it all, in my opinion Sword is the best Czech short run Company, they usually produce 5-6 new boxings per year (2-3 toolings). They have their share of omissions, but again nowhere near some other more known names coming from CZ. My list... 1. Saunders-Roe SR/A.1 2. Martin Baker MB.5 3. Hawker P.1127 4. Hawker Kestrel 5. Convair F2Y Sea Dart 6. Hawker Hunter F.1 7. H.S Dominie T.1 8. Focke-Wulf Fw 61 Etc..................................... Regards Tom
  23. Than it is...mea culpa..still do not believe a singe number he says, he lost his credibility long time ago... so Slovakia(47) got more kits than France, Spain and Netherlands...boosting sales creating artificial lack of x item...but that is just me being paranoid!
