  7. Looking stunning Arjan I like the steering / servo arrangement Kev
  8. An area of concern has been replicating the railings. The kit consists of the teak hand rail and some knibs where the other rails go. Total height of rails 4.5mm Using my swiveling vice and peg weights I've managed to lay and glue the additional rails. No mean feat with an involuntary tremor in my hand. Calling that a result, well pleased Stay safe Kev
  9. @Dave Swindell @ArnoldAmbrose Hi guys thanks for your technical input. I'm rather thinking in terms of artistic license plus being a relaxing OOB build, sratchbuilding a 20mm square wheelhouse doesn't appeal Cheers Kev
  10. Thanks for the input guys Much appreciated Kev
  11. Just pottering along and enjoying myself..... Bridge windows are not glazed so I thought I'd try PVA + colour. Which colour do you think best? Weathering done on upper hull Props. Bronze plus verdis and black wash I've been playing with fenders. Kit supplied look like inflatable rings Take care and stay safe Kev
  12. That's what happens when you play with the Big Boys..... I'm sure you're up to it Stay safe Kev

  14. Nice one Mate! Up there with your usual class Hope you enjoy York Stay safe Kev
  15. Do you think I can get a prescription for that malaise .... As the man said the inside of the bulwarks were bare, couldn't let it pass. So numerous 0.3 sq bits of plastic later Then the application of hull colour black grey. I feel pure black is to strong at this scale Deck green Thanks for all the kind comments and likes Stay safe Kev
  16. Simply Sunning !! How you manage to get some much feeling and character into such a simple craft is beyond me. Seascape a straight 10+ Stay cool Kev
  17. Cor that looks tasty! As always I shall follow with interest Mr Maestro Stay chilled Kev
  18. What a little sweetie, just love the subtle weathering ..... just a touch of red on the port nav light reqd. stay chilled Kev
  19. Great atmosphere ..... Stay chilled Kev
  20. Indeed it is. Fitted with Beckerman type rudders. The Kort nozzles direct the water flow over an aerofoil style rudder http://schilling-rudder.com/03_products/zzpics/sc_flap.jpg As opposed to the Fairplay swiveling nozzle/props. Reminds me I have plans for early 1900's steam tug...... Glad you all approve of my bottom Stay safe Kev
  21. Cor Big Boy stuff..... I shall watch from the wings Stay safe Kev
  22. It's been a while, 12 weeks ... Mo and Jo left for Spain (don't tell Boris) bad enough but they left me behind . Dipping my toe back in the water with an OOB build given to me by my good friend Dan. This kit was first released in 1984 by Imai (never heard of them ) OOB didn't last long Probably going to be displayed on a pedestal as a working tug. Wanted the antifouling to look well, fouled......... So I thought I'd try the salt technique and several shades I'm pleased with the final result Hope you're all keeping well Stay safe Kev
  23. Yet again I'm stunned with such a clean/crisp finish at such a small scale Stay safe and chilled Kev
