  1. Hi, here is my first ship. Any critiques welcome and hope you like it. Regards
  2. Visited the Metro MZ today. The lady working there was very pleasant. They stock a nice selection of tools, Humbrol acrylics, a small selection of kits. Word has it they've been doing really well at metro centre so hopefully in the future they'll expand. I did pick up an f35 lightning ii, an airbrush as a stocking filler, and a pot of Humbrol acrylics so I can finally start my god dam tigermeet mirage, which I've been unable to start for months. Hopefully they'll expand. Regards
  3. That phantom looks awesome, I'm going to MZ metrocentre on Friday so look forward to seeing the kits. Being able to get Humbrol acrylics is great news for me as well. I must say, by the comments on the Internet and by the photos, the kits look very thin on the ground but it's early days. Regards
  4. You've done a great job here and the scheme is super. I love the underside and the decals make the build even better. Regards
  5. Lovely looking harrier. In my opinion the panel lines are perfect, in fact, I can't think of a new(ish) airfix kit with too deep lines. The camoflauge on this is super too. Top marks
  6. Certainly looks interesting. The scheme you are to do is very industrial looking so I'm happy. Regards
  7. That looks great, let's hope the other stores are as big. Needed a pot of red acrylic paint for my hobby boss 1:350 USS Arizona and was going to go to Metros WHMZ but was worried it wasn't opened yet so opted to go to hobbycraft instead. BTW, hobbycraft have sold tons of kits judging by the state of the shelves in some areas, the starter sets were almost all gone. Can anyone answer, do they sell revell aqua?
  8. This is awesome, I've seen a very similar kit in a model shop and your model definitely has prompted me to get it. So, thanks, more money on models. Your rusting and weathering is what has sealed the deal for me. Great work
  9. Excelent build. You can never have too many sea kings. Absolutely classic aircraft. This livery is great and you've done a super job on the paint.
  10. This is awesome. It looks great on the screen but I imagine it's awesome in the plastic. I imagine building a 1:32 scale helicopter is horribly laborious but the outcome, like this, must be brilliant. Absolutely top work. Regards
  11. These are lovely builds. I've got to get a lightning to the stash, im working on it. Great work. They are super aircraft but I doubt very much I'll ever see one flying. Regards
  12. Thanks, it's certainly a lovely scheme, but unfortunately a Eurocopter carries this scheme now as the bell's have been retired. They've gone on to other things though. Regards
  13. Thanks, surprisingly the orange was lovely to paint. I was worried it would be awful but it wasn't. Had visions of it being like the orange I applied on my gnat but thankfully it was nothing like it. Regards
  14. Hi all, here is my recently completed bell 212. These are beautiful helicopters and ive got fond memories of one at the sunderland airshow, but not in this livery. I hope you like her.
  15. White paint is like painting with water so your paint work is super. Regards
  16. This looks stunning. The mix of colours is very eye catching, top, top marks. Regards
  17. Lovely, clean, striking build. I almost bought one of these the other day. The decals on these, as well as all the newer airfix kits are sensational, very bright, sharp and true to life. Great build. Regards
  18. Excellent build, it's certainly nice to see a mustang in a different scheme. Very nice. Regards
  19. Hey, this is a smashing build. If all your brush painted builds were like this, I'd oust the airbrush. Very good. Regards
  20. Where did you get this at that price. Very cheap. I've got a couple of biplanes in my stash and this one looks very smart. Regards
  21. Thanks for the appreciation folks, I enjoyed making but loved doing the weathering. It's certainly one of the things I love doing the most, where I can. I've another ZERO to do, a different type, but I don't think I'll be starting it anytime soon as I've got far too many kits to build as the stash is getting embarrassing and I need to stop adding to it for a while, well, 2 or 3 kits every trip where I can buy them is okay, isn't it. Regards
  22. Hi all, after a few weeks with no modelling activity due to an illness disrupting my modelling, im finally back on track with regards to making models. Here is my mitsubishi zero which im over the moon with; im very happy with the heavy weathering. I hope you like it, regards
  23. Metrocentres WHMZ will be opening in 2 or 3 weeks and will occupy the top floor at the back so should be an aisle or 2. Let's hope they have good custom and decide to expand the modelling section. I suppose if there is great success Modelzone might have more of a presence than just in WHSmith. Regards
  24. Excellent build. I agree, never too many spitfires, but this also applies to hurricanes, at least to me. Regards
