  1. Thanks, the paints used were revell aqua, it's the only paint I use. I tried with the pots of Humbrol that came with it, they were truly horrible, lumpy, even after stirring and shaking and when on the model, the surface looked specked with specs. The same thing resulted in a shelved mirage which is waiting for revell paints. I've posted the numbers of the paints below. I can't remember which green I used, but I'm certain of the other two. Revell aqua Light Blue 49 Revell aqua gunship grey 74 I'm 90% certain it was gunship grey, but there's a small chance it was greyish blue. Regards
  2. Hi all, here is my airfix Messerschmitt. For some reason, ive got a lot of these in the stash, different mks mind you, so there'll be more in the future, mind you, my stash is around 100 boxes now so in the distant future. Hope you like it.
  3. Hi all, hope you like my recently completed seaking AEW. This old and tired kit certainly has challenges when building it but im happy with the outcome. Comments welcome.
  4. HaHa, perhaps if I make a 1:1 scale bristol they'll look appropriate. On a sensible note I am going to get some diorama photo backings for this use, and a parking bay base. Regards
  5. Thanks for the comments, much appreciated. Regards
  6. I really like this. The weathering is over the top,but that's a good thing as it makes it look very used and neglected. I think it looks so much better heavily weathered and neglected than clean and shiny. If you remember my zero, I made it heavily weathered too. Absolutely top marks from me. Regards
  7. Hi all, here is the gorgeous Luftwaffe phantom in special livery. This kit was picked up for around £5 in the summer, should have gotten 2. Comments welcome
  8. Hi all, here is my 1958 tool Bristol fighter. Comments welcome
  9. Lovely work. I'm glad you did decide to build it. The first image really compliments the build, even if some of the wings are off camera. Regards
  10. Very nice work. I love vulcans with either an all over white finish or, like yours, camoflauge and a white bottom. Mind we wouldn't have XH558 any other way would we. Regards
  11. I'm getting an airfix Vulcan in a few days and I hope mine ends up like yours. Your build looks well used which is a plus in my eyes as it looks very real. I'm brush painting my camoflauge so wish me luck. Regards
  12. Tell me about it. It doesn't help that my carpet is dark grey, ideally a wooden floor or a luminous yellow carpet would be the best, but I don't think a luminous yellow carpet would be eye candy. Regards
  13. Both 1:72. Pz.Kpfw and a T-34. Regards
  14. Excellent work here. I think I need to get one of these. The lights add so much to the model to. Top marks
  15. Truly lovely work on both lynxs. Yours certainly have made me want to start my two lynx. Excellent work. Regards
  16. Very nice, I think this is the best livery for a lightning. They look lovely with black top and tails and the lightning strike under the canopy with the roundel and yours suffices extremely well. Excellent work.
  17. Hi all, haven't posted for a while as I've been building a diorama, the revell stalingrad battle, and was getting along great until I met the tanks tread. Would any of you recommend getting a replacement tread that is either alot easier to build, or rubber. BTW, both tanks have this horrible to build treads so the question is for both. I built a Sherman calliope months ago and the rubber tread was so easy. Regards
  18. Thanks for the comments everyone. Much appreciated.
  19. Haha, not quite. It's ever since I've started using super glue, I can literally produce kits in less than half the time it would have taken with model glue. The best thing is the quality isn't suffering so while I'm producing them very quickly, the outcome is still the same. Only problem is today I started my expeditor and put super glue on the window frames to get them well stuck. Oh, it worked on keeping them stuck well, it's just that they frosted up even though there was no glue actually touching the main window. I'm planning on making the model in the future with blacked out windows in a livery that will look realistic for this. Regards
  20. Hi all, here is my red arrows gnat which I finished yesterday. I absolutely hated making my first gnat months ago, but ive recently started using superglue for all my modelling needs which eliminates all the horrible undercarriage waiting times, meaning that I just touch what I want, where, and it will stick as opposed to having to hold it in place for ages. Anyway, hope you like it.
  21. Hi, they were paint brushed as opposed to airbrush. I find silver lovely to brush as it just glides and coats without streaks. I also use very elasticy, synthetic, almost like nylon, brushes with a flat head for brushing tasks. Regards
  22. I used revell aqua on this build, as with all builds. The colours used were revell aqua Silver, revell aqua matt blue and revell aqua gunship grey. Silver (90) and matt blue (56) and gunship grey (74). The nose cone may have been revell dark green but I'm not 100% sure. Regards
  23. Thanks folks, it's certainly a bad canopy and stevej60, it is the old airfix kit. It's out of the airfix 100 years naval aviation set which I got for £25 in the sale at fenwicks. Not had for 5 planes and all the paint.
  24. I'd gladly give the WHMZ at Metrocentre some of my builds to be displayed. It would be great on both fronts, I would gain display space and my models would be seen by hundreds, and it would help entice people to by the kits.
