Hawker siddeley nimrod airfix 1:72
DanSAR95 replied to DanSAR95's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Now, if only that had happened to more nimrods instead of most of them being cut up. Makes me wonder if we'll ever see one flying again, being such a close relative of the comet, and obviously being iconic, one can certainly hope so. Regards -

Another Hurricane- Heller Mk.IIc in Portugese Markings
DanSAR95 replied to tonyot's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
It's lovely to see a well built hurricane in a foreign livery. And yes, I agree, hurricanes do seem to be very popular at the minute, I even added my contribution the other week. Top marks, regards -
Gloster Javelin....(no, not that one)
DanSAR95 replied to sean's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
This is awesome, very impressed at the brush painted camo and there is a great glossy finish to the build which makes it look very realistic. The base is great and is something I must get round to for photographing builds on. Regards -
Thanks to everyone for commenting, very much appreciated.

Hi, thanks, the decals are indeed the supplied ones. They are largely very nice, with good colours but if I'm being very critical, the axis kill decal could be sharper and more detailed. They were horrific, the letters and the nose art, to put on and the amount of times I split the nose art, then it would fold on itself, the split again, but i suppose it makes it even more satisfying finishing it when you had so many infuriating challenges. Regards

Hi all, just finished this mustang and I hope you like her. Comments welcome

Hi all, this isn't a recent build by any means, but I thought it was about time I photographed it. I haven't done the wash on its panel lines because one of two things is going to happen to her. I'm either, both in the distant future, going to sell her or going to completely refurbish it with new decals and touch ups. Any way, this is how it looks at the minute. Comments welcome

What a spectacular build. The livery is awesome, the cockpit detail I great, and it's 1/72, and you've subtly weathered it perfectly. Really love this. Top marks -
Modelzone at WHMZ metrocentre has been doing great, at least in the model kits as i talk everytime I visit with the staff about how their doing. I had noticed they've got some zvezda airliners in now. They are also gonna get the new airfix kits in when there released.

Quick Built - Revell Fokker D VII 1/72
DanSAR95 replied to MPaul's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
This is a great little build. I really enjoyed building mine, but rigging seems to laborious for me, although I'm gonna try with thin tubing later on, so we'll done on doing this. I think the paint scheme you've modified looks appropriate for a German biplane. Regards -
Awesome build. Lovely livery you've modeled. Must start some passenger plane's, Infact, must buy some first. Regards

Hobby boss 1:72 Hawker (AW) Seahawk
DanSAR95 replied to Chris Ferguson's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
What a fantastic build. This looks lovely, you've truly created a smashing model with this kit. The seahawk is a fascinating jet and they look lovely in the livery you've modeled. I recently bought an old airfix tooling of this but I'm definitely going to get this kit. I bet you paid little for this aswell, knowing Hobbyboss. What a great qreat bargain, a pocket money kit that produces a great quality build. Excellent work. regards -
Messerschmitt bf-109e airfix 1:72
DanSAR95 replied to DanSAR95's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Thanks everyone, it was a great kit to build, and, being a new airfix tool, it looks, unpainted, great with all the panel lines and detail. Many thanks -
What a beautiful build, these helicopters are such beautiful machines, in such a weird way. Not only have you produced a top class build and of a classic helicopter, but you put it in, in my opinion, the best livery for one. The photo background certainly looks good, especially coupled with the tufts of grass on the diorama. Absoloute top marks from me. Regards

Very nice build, I think it looks excellent, I love the image from above where you can see all the panel lines. Top marks, well done.
