  1. Hi all, just finished this build. I really enjoyed it and despite using the supplied paints, found them very good and they worked without issue. All comments welcome. Regards
  2. Hi all, here is my build of the old airfix tooling Mirage. This was started a few months ago but the paints supplied where horrible and left a beady gritty surface. Having no revel alternative, I shelved it. The other day, I began the painting using the supplied paints and just bared with it. I have applied slight weathering incase you were wondering what the silver scratches were. Comments welcome
  3. Hi all, here is my build of the elderly airfix gloster meteor. Comments welcome regards
  4. An INCREDIBLE build. The attention to detail is superb. Very very impressive. Got to get me a starfighter. Regards
  5. Lovely, haven't seen this scheme before, lovely underside. Top marks
  6. What a beautiful build. Mirages are lovely looking aircraft. Really impressed with this. Top marks regards
  7. Very nice, clean finish. Super paintjob, one of the nicest fortresses I've seen in 1:72. Regards
  8. Thanks for all the comments guys, was happy to see this build being revived with interest today and yesterday, it really means alot the continued exposure. I'm currently building another plane with camouflage, a meteor, Infact, the old airfix tooling, 1969, what a pleasure it is. Regards
  9. It's a great looking model. I for one would be pleased to add it to my display, as I'm sure the rest of the community would. Very nice work. Regards
  10. Wow, what a fantastic model. The attention to detail is fantastic. Truly stunning work. Regards
  11. Thanks for the comments. The main thing this has taught me is not to be afraid of building plane's with camouflage. I've not built many builds because of it, but this has changed my mind. I also drew the camo on the grey paint with a pencil so learnt alot about painting camouflage. Regards
  12. Very nice, looks great. Love the way it was originally in one livery, now in another, alot like certain real aircraft. Gives it more of a virtual history. Regards
  13. Haha, believe it or not, and thankfully, it fits on one of my shelves with no word of a lie the width of a fingernail between the front wheels and the shelves end. Very thankful it fits, trouble is, what happens when I've put up the max number of shelves, remembering the stash is now very big with more being added non stop. Regards
  14. I found it very pleasant to build. The only major filling was around the back door, but I suppose it only arises if you want a closed fuselage. The was areas were filling was needed, but these weren't really bad. Places you'd expect, fuselage joins, tail boom connection to fuselage. The decals are lovely and I was surprised at how good they set onto the model. The windows were also very pleasant to attach and are well formed. Overall, a very nice build, only thing was in put it to one side when the new airfix lightning was released to build it, so that set me back, but a great, enjoyable build. Regards
  15. Stunning builds, the first aircraft really puts you into a scene. I especially like the Eurocopter, such a colourful helicopter, they look nice in any livery but this one more so. The weathering on them is excelent. Top marks. Regards
  16. Oops, you're right. It's actually revell, I'll change the thread name. I wondered why it had so many views so soon after posting, must be confused hopeful people thinking airfix have released one. We don't need an airfix one though as the existing ones are fine. Thanks for pointing it out.
  17. Hi all, just finished this and what a challenge, reshape the nose removing the bulbous end, all the filling and sanding, then all the camoflauge, brush painted. What a sense of achievement finishing it though. Comments very welcome and I hope you really like her. Regards
  18. Hi all, here is my MK 22 spitfire. I hope you like her and comments very welcome. Regards
  19. Hi all, here is my merlin. It was actually finished weeks ago but my Vulcan build, which has just been finished, took up all the time. Some of the photos appear heavily saturated, i.e., deeper greens and blacks but this was just me leaving a setting on on my camera. Comments welcome Regards
  20. I think I've sorted it out, I think it will look correct when it's wheels are on and it can sit on the ground at the correct angle. If it doesn't ill certainly post images. Regards
  21. Hi all, has anyone noticed that the default angle of the tail appears wrong when attached to the airframe. The top of the tail appears to point down when I think, of looking at pictures, it points forward. I have carried out major surgery with my Vulcan in an attempt to straighten the top of the tail. Anyone notice this, how do you work it. Any help appreciated.
  22. Lovely work, I love the wessex, such an ugly bird, yet so pretty. Perfect livery Top marks
  23. I'm sure hobbycraft have no intentions to stop selling models. Whenever I'm in the model section always has people browsing it. They seem to sell well too. Regards
