  1. This is most probably my best 1/35 model, as I haven't build many, painted less and nearly everything a long time ago. I am basically a 1/72 guy. But sometimes for a change I make something, and I was quite inspired (if I may say so myself) when I built this one, in just two intensive days with the help of my brother. Usually I am not either a fan of making very worned out vehicles (I normally like vehicles just arrived from the factory), but this clearly cried for all the weatherings one can think of and then more. Here is the result (more pics here; http://toysoldierchest.blogspot.com/2013/05/tamiya-british-special-air-service-sas.html);
  2. This is one of my latest models. This is a kit I avoided during a long time because it looked too similar to the Tojo, George, etc. But finally, and as I am running out of different models to build, I ended up buying it. I got the old "super-rivetted" Revell version, which makes it look something american, with so many rivets. I decided for this bronze-brown camouflage, as it escapes from the usual japo green that bores me so much. The kanjis on the fuselage have been hand-painted. What I like from this model is the sensation of sturdyness it has, and the door to show the motor is very welcome too. 3. Thanks to all. I've built trickier and smaller things (for example, the tracks are fully in one piece, although you have to glue other very small doors and similar) but nevertheless, it is one of those models that you make a bad move and can ruin completely.
  4. A tiny tank made even smaller by the fact that it is 1/76. I had been a long time after this tank as it was one of the most important tanks I was missing in my collection. I refused to buy the JB Models for 13 €, and bought it eventually the Airfix reissue for just 6 GBP or so. 5. Here there is my try at this old Esci model, reissued by Italeri. It has some inaccuracies, but it is a interesting model. I needed a Dodge truck for my wargaming, but buying just the kit of a truck is always a bit dull, and sometimes quite expensive. When I saw the version with anti-tank "power" for a good price, I didn't think twice. I thought that it was a new tooling by Italeri, but no, it is old school Esci. 6. Thanks. Christopher, yes, they were not too bad, but sadly they resulted to be half-transparent, and I didn't bother to repaint the white. Spitfire31, well, I've built many models in my life . Uhh, it is so old and antiquate that for one moment I had a lapsus...
  7. Very nice. One has always the doubt if to restore a old model or build a new one... you have proved that restoration is possible and can look very well.
  8. Well, here is my first post. I build mainly 1/72 models, having just made 1 or 2 1/32 and 1/48. This is the Lublin RXIII, an obscure polish biplane, from a even more obscure brand, Model Junior. The kit was awful, it was very complicated to build. You can see more pics here; http://toysoldierchest.blogspot.com/2013/06/lublin-r-xiii-plage-laskiewicz-model.html
