  1. Same here. Work for Pax River…so I fancy test aircraft as well. Cheers Collin
  2. I've said this in other threads: Eduard....if you are listening.... Scale up your F6F Hellcat to 1/32...then start your money making machine. Heck...I will fly over there to get a few and bring back to the states. Cheers Collin
  3. Interesting…she’s still dropping bombs yet taking photographs. Collin
  4. Not that I know of. Used to see them off an on during my year long stay in Qatar. Cheers Collin
  5. Question....which camera fit? Any idea? Collin
  6. Thanks all....looks decent enough to sit on my desk at work!! Cheers Collin
  7. Revell boxing. Good kit, little tricky here and there but great surface detail. Caracal decals, which were flawless. PJ Production pilots. Added an extra SCALP/Storm Shadow missile and added the Meteor missiles/pylons. Cheers Collin
  8. Interesting build subject. 500 was slightly weathered, with the full viz markings. My pilot and I were headed to Cat 1 ready to launch when she was shot down. CV-62 suspended the launch and we all shut down while the CO of VA-115 (next to us on deck) was told to get unstrapped and up to the bridge ASAP. It was a beautiful weather day....I remember that. Cheers Collin.
  9. Looks like a Desert Storm VFA-86 F/A-18C double bubble loaded with 3 x MK-83 (TP...double yellow nose band) with BSU-85 fins.
  10. Thanks all for your comments. Trying my best to make my models look operational based of photos from the time…and of course build in-flight…where to me they look the best. Cheers Collin
  11. Fun older kit....oil weathering. Prop blur's used. Cheers Collin
  12. Buff for the initial light color to set the outline of the exhaust path....then filled in the area with tans and browns, mixed super thin, to simulate dirty exhaust. Think I hit it with some oils as well. Alclad smoke was used as well. That A-26 build is about 5+ years old, so I have forgotten the actual process/mix (but you get the idea). Just really thin your paints...and use a very fine airbrush to build up the exhaust. I have a Badger SOTOR 20/20....and it can draw pencil lines when needed. Cheers Collin
  13. I start with a NATO black or the darkest grey I can find as a base color, then use dark greys mixed with black and other greys to get some panel variety. ,
  14. Believe it when I see it...but this former S-3 NFO is happy to hear the news. Cheers Collin
  15. Everyone loves a well done S-3 Viking....and your build is right on the mark!! Cheers Collin (former flyer of the mighty Viking).
  16. I don't think you are alone on this one, I'm 100% with you Victor. Just something about the rivets is off to my eye. Having been around aircraft all my life probably has something to do with it. PSA: I will take everyone's Tamiya P-47's they are dumping for the MiniArt kit...just saying. Cheers Collin
  17. Airfix downsized their F6F Hellcat to 1/32 to satisfy the MASSIVE need for this kit in this scale....there....the secret is out. Cheers Collin
  18. Do you do a light wash on your landing gear? What's your painting process? Beautiful work. Cheers Collin
  19. My next build will be my second attempt at the Airfix 1/48 Mosquito PR XVI....so I would love to be a part of this build. Cheers Collin in the States.
  20. That's my thinking as well. I have these decals and I'm doing NG-X. Figured she had upper wing stripes, at least initially during and for a short time after the invasion. Cheers Collin
  21. Looking to build MM465, I see fuselage and lower wing stripes. Unsure of the upper wing surfaces. Cheers Collin
  22. Tamiya 1/48. Except for the props, she’s OOB. Cheers Collin
