  1. Absolutely terrific, both interior and exterior work.
  2. Tremendous model, Arkady. Something to strive towards when I build my kit, though if I even get halfway to your quality I will be delighted.
  3. Absolutely terrific work, Wolwe, both with the model and the photography. I too have enjoyed Jamie Haggo's blog, though my taste is for the more lightly weathered model, and this Mustang is a premier example. Thank you for sharing!
  4. Best of luck! I've just packed my Gladiator away for the night, after three hours' work in which I managed six lines of rigging (the previous Gladiator got smashed after frustration with my atrocious efforts at rigging the thing, and the temptation reared its head again tonight). And yet ... there's an Eduard Albatros that's next up from the stash, so there must be something about those biplanes that keeps me coming back.
  5. I think that's superb work, particularly the airbrushing and the seam removal, for a first build. The only thing I'd say is that you seem to have brought out the panel lines in some areas (particularly around the tail, in the last photo), but not others. However, the general quality puts my efforts to shame. Homemade belts to boot - excellent work!
  6. The Osprey "Halifax Squadrons of WW2" has a picture of a Met V of 517 Sqn with what look to me like four-bladed Merlins (pg 87). It also has several pictures (albeit mostly from a distance) of A5s on D-Day with four-bladed props and stripes aplenty, so that is certainly a perfectly valid option. There are colour drawings of all of these within the book, as well.
  7. I find similar info to Atom.uk (my sources are, however, fairly general). The nose turrets were taken out fairly early on, being generally regarded as useless weight on a night bomber, while the four blade propellers were used later in production and on non-bomber versions, so it seems unlikely that they would co-exist on the same aircraft. The kit is nicely engineered, by the way, inaccuracies aside. Just avoid blindly following the instructions as they do not always make it clear that certain steps apply only to one version or the other.
