  1. Just to let you know, the Martel screen for the rear cockpit Is included, confirmed last week.
  2. One of these is an accurate portrayal of a Royal Navy Buccaneer 😉😁
  3. CAD looks good, hopefully it will also have the double yoke as used in the AAC aircraft, a couple of Hk53s clipped behind the front seats would be too much to hope for I suppose 😁
  4. They have a standing access offer to ZG771 😉
  5. It's an accurate, if a bit dated, Spey Phantom.
  6. And they are easier to remove than add, it takes two minutes with a sanding stick.
  7. Sprue test shots on Workbench. https://uk.airfix.com/community/blog-and-news/workbench/buccaneer-test-frame-exclusive-and-italian-aviation-style?fbclid=IwAR2NFD8T6F34OT3KMr218DKPp2EZDV4L6qW9FAJXvPIYMYQ3t_-pseeEP9Y
  8. If you are an Airfix club member, 20 percent discount this weekend, knocks fifteen quid of the Buccaneer pre order so 57 quid with free postage.
  9. No rush on them as RAF airframes can not be built from the first boxing, no bulged bombay, no arrestor hook housing with flare dispensers, RAF specific weapons etc
  10. Early straight tailboom but looks like the joints give the possibility of cranked versions to come, doesn't look like the deep fuselage with torpedo Bay for HAS.7/9 is an option though.
  11. Workbench on the development of the Buccaneer. https://uk.airfix.com/community/blog-and-news/workbench/new-buccaneer-s2-go-big-or-go-home
  12. All of which are included as standard in the kit
  13. Also add intake and exhaust covers plus boarding ladders.
  14. It doesn't, the breakdown is similar to the 72nd and the real thing, nose to rear of cockpit vertical join to bulkhead, central section Horizontal the tail section from exhausts vertical, it works well in 72 so should be no different in 48.
  15. Having seen the original computer drawings, CAD and photos of the 3d printed development model (no I can't post the photos here) the amount of work that has gone into this kit is fantastic and the detail, including the surface detail, is way beyond any Airfix kit up to now, it really has been a work of passion for the team.
  16. You can't do a grey over white early Mk.2 from the kit, the early ones didn't have the bulged faring to reduce the noise between the front fuselage and the intakes, when these were retrofitted to the early ones at Sydenham they were the painted into the overall EDSG scheme. Also if you want to do an RAF one it needs a lot more than just the bulged bomb bay, it needs the arrestor hook housing changed, different RWR on the tail, different antenna including the ILS on the tail, wing tips changing for most, landing light on the nose gear, RAF specific weapons etc, all these have been accounted for, as well as the different ejection seat and control panel for the Martel converted airframes, so it will be better to wait for the future RAF release than bodging up a half baked conversion from the navy boxing. Yes I've been involved from the start with this crawling around XV361 as Paramjit could not get over to do it himself due to lockdown at the time.
  17. It's not a scaled up 72nd but it is based on the scan of XV361 at the Ulster Aviation Society.
