  1. Email from Airfix, my one is ready to be dispatched. 😁
  2. Just a pity they didn't include Adam "Paddy" O'Hares name on the sheet, 2022 display pilot and a mate 😉
  3. Looks identical to the Duxford one. 2022-10-23_07-41-34 by Tony Osborne, on Flickr
  4. Now in stock with Airfix, my one is on its way. 😀
  5. Very nice 😀and good to see the Airfix kit, it's still a lot better shape than the Hobbyboss thing.
  6. Apart from seat belts if you don't want to use the supplied decals you need nothing to add.
  7. The new tool Airfix Buccaneer finished as S.2D XN981 ,809 NAS, HMS Ark Royal . Built straight from the box using Hataka and Tamiya paints. a fantastic kit to work on ,the only fit problem was ejection pin marks on the inner tailplane surfaces. Having helped with the development of this kit since the original scanning of XV361 at the Ulster Aviation Society it has been a brilliant feeling getting one completed. 8. No internal seating and it looks very much like a scaled down Trumpeter 1/35th, personally for the options provided I would stick with the Italeri ( where's Airfix when you need them😜😂)
  9. The Martel screen is provided on sprue A
  10. S.2B is the RAF variant, S.2C and D RN that carried the overall EDSG scheme.
  11. Shame it's not Adams name on there as he's this years pilot and a good mate. Keith Watson is still the teams SENGO this year.
  12. Has it Saintys or Adam O'Hares name on the sheet?

  14. They got that wrong, it is produced in India and says so on the box, the 24th Spitfire is being produced in the UK.
  15. As a B photos show XW527 as having the RAF arrestor hook housing with the flare launchers , this housing is not included with the kit only the FAA version.
  16. For the instrument panels there are sixteen seperate parts with raised dials, switches, screens etc to fit on and around the tub along with a similar number of decals, to replace them with aftermarket will mean removing every bit of 3d moulded detail. Full seat harness are provided by very nicely printed decals that are suggested to add onto foil before fitting. 18. You need to change the arrestor hook housing to the RAF standard one with the flare/chaff boxes. Honestly I would just build this one as Fleet Air Arm and wait for the RAF specific release as apart from the RAF specific parts you will also get the decal sheet with every stencil you could want.
  19. No, it's from India using a new type of plastic for the factory.
  20. OK it's here and it's stunning. On opening the box there are three large bags containing the rather large dark grey sprues. Bag 1 containing sprues A and B, bag 2 sprues C and D, bag 3 sprues E,G an H with the clear sprue double bagged in a semi-detached section. The instruction booklet is 36 pages with 171 build sections, there are also the four colour schemes and a stencil sheet, the decal sheet is by Cartograph and is fantastic covering every single stencil needed. The plastic is harder than usual and detail is some of the finest I have seen on ANY kit from any manufacturer. The photos below will speak for themselves. 21. My two have just been delivered, I'll do a bit of an inbox photo review later. They look superb, crisp dark grey plastic, very fine detail, individually bagged sprues, has to be best Airfix kit ever.
  22. There won't be a release with the white undersides, this tooling is for versions with the noise reducing faring only, C/D navy in this boxing and B RAF to follow.
