As Giorgio says, the shades in the FS (now AMS) 595 range of colours had no official names, although many had unofficial ones that have become commonly used when referring to specific colours - but even those have changed over time. Take FS16473 as one example - in the link in post #4, that is referred to as 'Aircraft Gray', and further down the matt version, FS36473, is referred to as 'Sky Gray'. 'Aircraft Gray' dates back to pre-FS595 days, when that shade was ANA 512 - the ANA colours did have names. When it saw widespread use during the 1960s and 70s on the interceptors of Air Defense Command, it became known as 'ADC Gray'. It is also sometimes referred to as 'NASA Gray'. When FS36473 started being used on Forward Air Controller types in Vietnam, it quickly became known as 'Counter Insurgency Gray', usually shortened to 'COIN Gray'. Others are just plain confusing - take FS15102. Originally ANA 501 'True Blue', it appears in the #4 link as 'Dark Blue', but is also called 'OHSA Safety Blue'. Despite being 'Dark Blue' in gloss form, the semi-gloss version, FS25102, is known as 'Light Blue'!

Rather than trying to drill right through to take a single rod, how about a recess at each end for short lengths of rod? -

So ladders are no longer hypothetical, then, Bill? They'll still need holes in them! -

45 mins after yesterday's post (three above), what was presumably the same Griffin went over again, on the same heading as the previous two occasions... ....an hour-and-a-half or so ago, it (or another) passed overhead quite low, headed seaward - it returned from that direction a few minutes ago, in company with another... ....the two were in trail, the leading one higher than the trailing one - a rough estimate of the heading(s) leaves me wondering if they went to/came from Channel Islands...

Been very quiet here for the last month now, with absolutely nothing going overhead on approach to Newquay, and hardly anything at high-level about to cross the pond... ....there's just been the occasional Culdrose Merlin or the Newquay-based Coastguard helo passing by - apart from this morning, when a DHFS Griffin flew overhead twice in the space of 20 minutes, the second time quite low down...

Beautiful finish, and I agree with the comments above, it is a very nice kit - but then I'm slightly biased, being the first person in the UK who saw and built it... ....in conjunction with the person who designed some of Revell's decals back then, I selected the markings options provided in the first release, and had a test shot to check them on...

Very nice - I always liked the F-21 in the Navy and Marines Aggressor schemes, but have never got around to building one... ....I actually have two of the same kit tucked away (one parted-started, as I recall) - but only one set of decals between them! -

As per my comment two posts above yours:

My wife made a comment in similar vein when I did my 'Raspberry Ripple' Sea King Mk.4X - on the lines of it being a "nice colourful one, for a change"... ....the 'lack' of serial numbers (and national insignia) wasn't uncommon with Modeldecal sets catering for multiple versions of type - Dick Ward's rationale was that by providing such items on separate 'generic' sheets, he could include more subjects and markings on the others...

Don't know where your photos are hosted, but all I'm seeing are little grey boxes with 'spacer.png' - when I right-click and 'view image', I get taken to a Google sign-in page for an account I don't have... ....no issues with your A-6 pages -all pics there show up fine... -
Wonderful Wessex, Massimo - can barely wait for the Sea King yet to come... ....which will doubtless be similarly stunning...

If you finish them as 37th ARRS aircraft, the area's not out of their way at all - after the withdrawal of the HU-16, the squadron's HH-3Es routinely flew a stand-by orbit with tanker support over the Gulf in support of operations further north... ....in fact, your photo back on page 1 was taken over water - possibly the Gulf itself - BTW, you have realised that picture is 'flipped', haven't you...
