  1. Have you figured out the paints yet ? I can't find paints the correspond to the call out. Only option 'OOB' is Akan. What's your thoughts Mike ?
  2. Indeed ! That and the fact that the airlines won't get their knickers in a twist when I take some back to Saudi with me
  3. Has anyone come across or cobbled together a ammo paint conversion chart ? cheers !
  4. would be interesting to see if the current Typhoon 1000ltr tank is the same thing...
  5. OC 29sqn to Airman - "Airman ! I want 2 X's in front of the roundel and IX behind it" That's the story an I'm sticking to it !
  6. Cocking off !!! Followed by a plumber been catapulted off the wendy and wet feet.....time for a smoke
  7. As an ex RAF plumber I have never fitted a 1000ltr tank to any flavour of tornado.
  8. http://www.airfix.com/aircraft/1-48-scale-military-aircraft.html May put your mind at rest. The chaps were correct.
  9. Thanks Guys ! With your help, I've managed to track down what I was looking for. Sometimes its new ideas that help when doing a google search. What I came up with is PVA and Deluxe Materials' Icy Sparkles. Basically you lay down a layer of PVA onto cling film, bigger than the sheet of 'shattered' glass you require. Sprinkle on the old Icy Sparkles then let dry. Peel off dried PVA/Sparkles mix then cut to required size. The Sparkles also gives you the glass effect around the area of smashed car window! It gives a shattered tempered effect. Love that idea. Long screws into the rims from under the base...that will work !
  10. Hi All, Does anyone have some tips on how to simulate shattered glass ? I've seen it somewhere before, in some mag but it never told you how to do it. I;m looking for the shattered effect but some glass left in the pane. Also rubber type tyres, how can you flatten them ? thanks
  11. Colin, received my Raptor today...absolutely spot on. I can complete my Op Ellamy project now
