Since long times a Bf 109G-14 from UM (ICM-copy?) kit was in my kit collection. It is not a super kit. I have build this ICM kit some times ago as Bf 109F-4 (JG-3) I know that many kit error are waiting for me. The clear kit parts would be rather sandblasted. Therefore some spare parts must help from my rest parts box. As always I use some photo templates for my new project. (source: flicker/ bf109.de) A conversion set in scale 1/48 was never available. So I need to create an enlarged bulge itself. It was not easy. It takes a lot of patience and tranquility. But I think with green putty and a little courage you can do a good job. The engine of these kit is to great!. I build the engine only for a diarama project. The firt airbrsuh color: mixing of RML65 and RLM76 (AGAMA/ XTRACOLOR) Decals I used from ERRORmaster and from Hobbycraft HC1522 (yellow 7 white outlined) The kit just married: all major part groups are glued! First national decal part is on the tail ruder. Her is the oil tank in green, later I chnaged this, but I think it can be a mistake? Ready for Take off One problem I must to think again accurate. The color of the oil tank behing the propeller can be in green or not. (see top photos again)

Anyone who buys a aircraft kit in Germany has often a little problem. The decals of swastikas are overpainted, cut up or destroyed . In Germany exist the §§86 witch prohibit the sale and storage of such labels. Also claim list of American planes are affected. For this reason I have made this often themselves. Requires a good vector editing software, a good printer (inkjet / laser) AND a good level of knowledge of Corel Draw - this is my vector program. If you want more information for handle this work, let me know, I can give here a instruction. This is the claim scrore list for a P-51D in Scale 1/48 (P-51-D Nose Art)

I finisched antenna and canon installation today in the mroning. And ... I will change the color of wheel hub in black! The MK108 left gun barel I have extended, the resin part was only to short. Now wait some remaining parts (front and side panel of canopy and a little bow cover) Same color change (white red white FUG220), some a/c stencils on the fuselage and upper wing and then it can be a roll out?

A Mk.VIII with two cannons in every wing side and with the same wing layout like Mk.VC or Mk.IXC early - with greater cannon bump ....

Sorry, my ask was incorrect my mistake English. I mean - a Spitfire Mk.VIII with C -wing and two guns like a Mk.Vc - this is better.
-
A liitle ask with greate results for my model: Has ever exists a Spitfire Mk.VIII-version with C-wing? If this really so, there can everyone show me some photos? Is this a/c a Mk.VIII with C-wing or not?

Wow - a little mistake on landing gear - small cause with big effect. When I lift the tail, propeller has only a small gap to the ground. I have made this mistake. So I cut the landing gear without any emotion and now I do my best for a correction. Sorry, but the construction plan is no helper in this moment

The nights are long and I still have very little time. Therefore, it is slow. The wheels are finished, the spinners have been changed in color. Next steps follow later.

Well, now I have install FuG antenna of Flensburg-Gerät (left and right), navigations lights. And too I installed canopy parts and found this part is a little bit too large. Is is so - and is not changeable. Many litle parts wait now of my work. I must find a good day with calm hand for MK108 canons, last conopy parts, wheels, FuG 220 antennas. Some color areas I must modified in the next.

Yesterday and today was a good day of modeling for me. At first I built the new pitot tube. It made with plastic tube and copper wire. The pitot tube was moved inwards and mounted downstream. Then I have the canopy mounted with back machine gun. The antenna wires were built in extruded plastic tubes (max. 0.05 mm) threaded through the antenna mast and fixed. Likewise, I have the pilot's seat refined with belts (self made - not etched) I color the antenna wires with black permanently marker. The result is a fine black matallic color!

Yes I think also too, this was a These forum here give us some good sources to built correct models or/ and you hope for an honest evaluation of your work - well? And so I missing here some more background inforrmations from you. These kit from Hobby Boss is not easy to built. Some basic dimensions are incorrect, the engine cover is completely wrong, the propeller rotates in the wrong direction. These "little things" should be corrected so that is a model similar model. on right: wrong engine cover Hobby-Boss Fuselage + new engine cover (Revell) + TAM propeller and spinner = better dimension! 24,5cm (fuselage parts) + 3cm (engine cover) + 1cm (spinner) = 28,5cm * scale 48 = 13.68m + some length correction with motor and exhaust colletors - it is best built a original model. Length: 13.95 m (45 ft 9 in) ... an interesting photo copie from engine cover!

Bristol Beaufighter - a question for the guitarists amongst us.
BOBO replied to Beard's topic in Aircraft WWII
I have an important question. Many photos of restored aircraft Beaufigther NF I have found, but a question remains off. Who can give me exactly show based of drawings / photos, how to open the rear cabin of radar operator place.
