  1. let me see how i can reduce the work so far in a few pictures and words Started by re doing all the rivets and panel lines barely visible in the model pieces, and adding some rivets on the wings skin so it look less like a toy and more like a model next to come is fixing the worst fit of pieces ever found on a model, the matting of the wings to the fuselage by sanding the shaded area of the wing you will get a nice and smooth fitting of both parts after sanding landing gears are ready i will be using Aires cockpit on this one, already done next done is testing some airbrush work to see if i can get the dirty look of carrier based prowler, for my taste it looks fine, i was experimenting on walkways textures, cause this bird have lots of walkways i want some texture on them, the color needs to be lightened a little bit but the texture for me is convincing a general look of the bird primed in black
  2. Hello, here is my latest bird done, it is from Tamiya in 1/32 scale, cockpit and wheels are from Eduard, the rest of the model is straight from the box, insignias and numbers are painted, just used some minnor declas from the box, hope you like it
  3. finally managed to find some time to sit in front of the desk, started the center wing assembly and painted the wheel wells i think they look ok here is a picture of the wheel wells without the gear and here with the landing gear also i tried the color of tamiya for the rudder
  4. this will be the last update for 8 days, got to fly out of the country, i finished the propeller, looks worn but i think it is ok if you visualize this birds working on sand runways on the airplanes i fly the propos get worst in paved runways so i thinks this one is ok for my taste and here is a general view of the bent wing bird so far, little by little is starting to look like a Corsair
  5. Hi guys, not much done so far, just finished both main gear and tires, to me they look ok, need the opinion if something is missing or wrong Also i managed to close the fuselage and the engine accessory compartment is almost done, some minor touch up to do
  6. Hi guys,as you may know i have posted some pictures of the cockpit already, this is my new proyect, i hope it will turn ok, this time i will build in a different sequence, i will start with all the smal pieces like cockpit, engine, landing gear, doors , and extra aftermarket pieces then i will start putting all together, so in the beggining you only will see pictures of this parts then will come the build itself. I started with the EDUARD resin cockpit modified so it will be a 1A, here are some pictures too bad that most of the details will be hidden once the cockpit is close in the fuselage, that is why i took this pictures this is the model engine, just added the wires, the exhaust is just dry fit at the moment, but the joint of the exhaus wont be visible thanks to the cowling flap doors the after market engine accesory section almost done, need to add some wires and hoses and the fuselage ready to be closed, with the Eduard resin cockpit module in place
  7. here are the wings one filled and sanded and the other natural from the box the sinks are barely visible, will see how it will look with the primer on
  8. ok so going back to the model, i removed the gun panel from the nose, the one on the model really sucks so i cut it out and i am waiting for a resin replacement about the wing, the real stuff dont have those deep sinks on the center panel, so i pulled out the credit card and bought one from Kinetic, hopping that the new one will be better, at least a will use the aft fuselage to replace the original one. to try to fix the sinks in the wing i used Tamiya putty dissolved with some thinner, and covered one of the panels, i dont mind loosing the rivets details on the center wing panels, in the real one you dont see any rivets on the center fuel panels
  9. I will agree about the stressed skin if it was somewhere else but in the skin over the fuel Tanks?.. I dont think so, i will try to find a kinetic model to see ir the wings aré ok and replace them Biggles87 if yours is less stressed than mine then yours is OK
  10. not much for an update, time during the day is really short, been mothersitting my mom in the clinic for the last week, but everything looks like she is getting well, about this kit, even that is better than the hasegawa sabre is not the best kit in the block, after building few kits from tamiya, other the fitting and details really sucks in any other kit brand, but this will be a real challenge and even more if the finish will be with alclad paint. on the fuselage some rivet lines fade because the injection process lacks from pressure in the plastic injection, here is a sample the worst part is on the wings, a lot of irregularities on the surface Ok , leaving behind the problen on the kit, the cockpit is atrting to look like a cockpit, bot resin side panels in place and the photoetch panel also in place also the front resin gear well is in place
  11. hello everyone, this will be my second 1/32 planes to be build so far, in the market there are only 2 sabres in 1/32 scale, one by Hasegawa and the other by Italeri, between the two Italeri is the best so far in detail, but it have lots of problems with the molded pieces and some fitting issues, will see how it turns out. For this one i will use some AM stuff, all resin pieces, the cockpit, wheel wells, airbrakes, and metal pitot tube. I have found some injection problems in some of the big pieces, for example in the aft part of the fuselage some panel lines and rivets are almost invisible due to poor injection pressure into the mold, it will be shown in pictures later one, and some distortion on the wing upper surface due to the same problem before. So far i just did some cockpit work, the sabre cockpit is really plain in details, not much knobs on the side panel, and the panels and knobs are all in black color, so i used my imagination and to give some contrast and life to the side panels i used some data decals around some knobs so it wont look plain and toyish in apperance about the instrument panel, it is the old fashion way, a front pohotoetch cover (to flat in detail) and an acetate face in the back for instrument dials (at least this will give the look of glass cover in the instruments, not the best panel ever made but in the model it look quite in scale and real and here you can see the shine on the instruments looking like real glass
  12. yes i used a gradient sheet of paper, they come in different colors, i bought then long time ago
  13. guys, i am not stressed out about the intake cover, jejejejje, but in two weeks i will show it on a contest and for sure many of the judges will critizice that little detail, so off it goes and will be replaced with another apropiate logo just in case Jorge
  14. Rick, the A-4 is from hasegawa and the decal are A/M Yes Andrew, my mistake , i didnt know that the alaska agressors are from the USAF, i will change the logo on the engine intake cover

  16. Hi Bigmick, the venezuelan F-16 are block 15 and are a model A, original when they were bought they came with the SEA colors, but after the years the lighter green was changed to a crapy light green and they look awfull with that green, here are a few pictures i took about 2 years ago , hope this will help
