  1. Hi Paul, i like it so worn. Many pictures show well "worked up" aircrafts on korean war carriers , i feel you well captured the beast
  2. Hi Miggers, sincerely thanks. Given the nice time i had with mustang, i came home from the latest modelling contest with me 109 e4, typhoon and the marvellous swordfish, Airfix again... Since i like finish more than building, the new UK-brand kits are perfect for me. (must say i started at 5 y age with Aifix. The red plastic fokker triplane, bagged into the famous tranparent cellophane, long time ago...)
  3. 2nd build... me too shocked ps: a simple white-card background would greatly enhance those already nice pictures
  4. happy to know you liked it, thanks Guys ! @Rob 1 : must say it layed abandoned, half done for some...years... before that inspirational picture
  5. Morning all, this is my latest tiny project, the tamiya uss bouge set as cve 21 uss Block island. The idea came from a picture of the uss Bismarck Sea replenishing aircraft from barges. Picture visible in "escort carriers in action" by squadron , and larger in "aircraft carriers" by Roger Chesneau books. Barge, crane and fresh food trawler are scratch. Just some etching railings and some weathering to add a life, that's all. Calm harbour sea is watercolor card, with a shallow-water effect made with some transparent filters i'm testing.
  6. Amazing job and finish... I literally love the "hammered" effect on platings, it's what we say the cherry over the cake
  7. stunning, sharp and clean finish, love it
  8. thanks you all , guys,. Too good comments, no critics ??
  9. Hi joachim, follow my signature, you find both product and pdf tutorial best, Beppe
  10. Hi Fellow Modellers, this is my latest 1.72 aircraft, but more than all a first attempt to posting... I literally falled in love to this new Airfix kit, welcome back to the company with such new items, with the usual philosophy : nice and easy to build. Nothing more was added, seatbelts apart. Painting was made in a layered transparence technique, with ALU EFFECT filter over different tones of white/grey. Just a bit weathering of colored parts, to enhance shape and blend together that mess of colors.
  11. I'm amazed with the conning tower, itself a kit into the kit...
